Celebrating International Women's Day with Maren E. Bjørseth the inaugural ITA International Ibsen Fellow.
Bjørseth works as a director both in her home country of Norway, the Netherlands and across Europe.
In Norway she directed Reigen (Arthur Schnitzler), Ein Volksfeind (Henrik Ibsen) and Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet , which earned her a nomination for the Heddaprisen as best director. In October 2016, Agota Kristof's The Notebook premiered in Trondheim . Her direction of Hugo Claus' A bride in the morning at TA-2 - Toneelgroep Amsterdam's platform for the development of young directors - was selected for the 2015 National Dutch Theater Festival.
As International Ibsen Fellow she directed Emilia Galotti in January 2017 and A delicate balance in March 2019.
These are just a few of this woman's (in)credible achievements.
