We are delighted to present À Table, Christophe Lennox’s second solo exhibition at ISCA Gallery from September 17 to October 24, 2026.
I moved into my new apartment on Kirkegårdsgata. It’s my favorite square in Oslo. There is a pool with a sculpture of an egg in the middle and a restaurant called apostrophe with a terrace. It feels like Paris.
When the decision was made that we would separate I began making a dinning table for myself. It felt more like making a coffin.
I have made several paintings about the table since then. And I think I will title my next show ‘À table.’ That’s what my mother would always call when dinner was ready.
Christophe Lennox (b. 1986 Dundee, UK) holds a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art from Concordia University in Montreal in 2012. After having lived in Canada for a decade he returned to the UK and lived in London where he gave up painting and started a bespoke furniture making company. Following the death of his grandfather, also an artist, he inherited a box of old paints and began painting again. Rooted in personal experience yet reaching beyond it, his work reflects on identity, love, loss, and the fragile bonds that connect and separate us.
