Congratulations to Jacky Jaan-Yuan Kuo and Eirik Melstrøm for their Duo Show at Loftet Kunstnernes Hus: The Great Backdoors: INTERFACE on 7th-15th of May.
An interface is a surface forming a common boundary of two or more bodies, spaces, or phases. It is the place at which two or more otherwise independent phenomena meet, act and communicate with each other. Perhaps most central to «INTERFACE» is the notion of how we deal with nostalgia. What is the relation between remembrance, reminiscing and nostalgia? How do we deal with the inevitable morphing caused by the passing of time?

FKDS Fellowship Exhibitions
Every year, eight recently graduated artists from Fine art academy of KHiO, get a studio space at the back of Kunstnernes Hus. At The Loft, they present a series of duo exhibitions, in which two artists who have shared a studio throughout the program show their work.
The studio program is supported by the Fund for Art and Design Students (FKDS). The purpose of FKDS is to support students and alumni of the departments at the Oslo National Academy of Fine Arts through various scholarships.
