in Kristiansand, Norway Ravnedans is South-Norways first festival of contemporary dance. www.ravnedans.com

The festival started the summer of 2010, and continued every summer. The festival is a growing meeting point for dance artists in the north, and a place to be inspired with performances, workshops and seminars. We want to contribute to increase contemporary dance in the south region.

DAY 1 ✨

And just like that, Ravnedans 2026 is underway.

Today we started the festival with:
🌊 A refreshing swim at Nodeviga
🧇 Welcome waffles and good conversations
💃 The first day of the Performance Lab
🤠 A work-in-progress showing of RODEO
🌈 Oslo Q***r Line Dance taking over Kunstsilo

And to finish the evening, a joyful Line Dance walk through the city to Prosjekthytta.
A beautiful start filled with movement, encounters, laughter, and community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today. We can’t wait to share the rest of the festival with you.

RAVNEBAD at Ravnedans 2026 🌊 👙

Some of the best festival conversations happen outside the theatre.

This year, we invite you to join us for Ravnebad, one of Ravnedans’ beloved social traditions. A chance to gather, breathe, connect, and take a refreshing dip together in the beautiful surroundings of Kristiansand.
Artists, audience members, volunteers, festival guests, and curious newcomers are all welcome.

No performance. No expectations. Just people meeting people.
Whether you’re jumping straight into the water or simply enjoying the atmosphere from the shore, Ravnebad is an opportunity to experience the festival community in a different way.
