I have an '80%' contract and although this keeps me pretty busy I am free to take on smaller projects between installation periods. An experienced 'Fine Art Technician' with a background in carpentry, I am based in London and Kristiansand, Norway. I regularly take on projects both in Scandinavia and the UK but have also worked in France and Germany and would happily travel anywhere for an interest
ing job. Having worked as a joiner, specialising in restoration work and cabinet making I have developed a very keen eye for detail which I bring to each project. Usually involved in the planning of exhibitions I specialise in liasing with gallery staff and artists, advising the best way to go about setting up the exhibition spaces and installing the work. I am able to build the interior spaces from 'first-fix' through to decorating and finally installing the art works. Whether this is site-specific work, video/sound art or more traditional paintings and sculptures. With the excellent making skills I have developed during my career I am also able to produce art works in a wide range of materials including, wood, metal, glass, paper, plastics, latex and fibreglass. I have also transfered these making skills to the film/photography industry, having worked as set builder and prop maker for photo-shoots and TV commercials. I have references and images of previous work available upon request.
