TODAY!
Nifrost; the Nordic Digital Culture Foundation, is now launching a new NFT collaboration between Ben Hopper and 🇳🇴 Haavard Tveito. Ben Hopper is a London based Israeli conceptual photographer working around the world. He's featured in ELLE, GQ, HuffPost, The Guardian, Daily Mail, BuzzFeed and more. Håvard Tveito is 🇳🇴 a Norwegian Artist and Architect working with Technology and Architecture. He`s specialized in Virtual Reality at The Interactive Architecture Lab at The Bartlett School of Architecture in London.
The artworks in this exhibition is a reinterpretation of Ben Hopper's photographic series named Dancers on rooftops. Ben Hopper's photographs capture dancers in frozen moments in time often in urban situations. The natural light from the vast skies on the exposed rooftops plays an important part in painting the subjects captured by the lens of Ben Hopper. Håvard Tveito has reworked the photographs through digital manipulations through code, turning the photographs into ephemeral experiences abstracting the subjects over time. Again reviving the movement of the dancers, but from one image frozen in time.
Today's exhibition opening is moderated by Peder Haugfos, a creative individual with background in editorial and creative direction and journalism and with facilitating innovation projects with over 100 worldwide media brands. Together with Håvard Tveito himself, they established the first Nifrost.art with a particular focus on underrepresented creatives using our time to discover and provide a platform to give digital artists and creators a voice into the wider society and build cultural, digital and entrepreneurial bridges between the nordic countries. We work with digital culture import and export across the nordic countries.
