Hei Sørfinnset-venner!
I år er det den 22. sommeren for Sørfinnset skole / the nord land. Alle arrangementene er som vanlig åpne og gratis.
Sommerprogram for Sørfinnset skole / the nord land 2025:
"Turister i eget land”
Tidsperiode: 18. juli (ankomst) til 3. august (avreise)
Lørdag 19. juli: bidrag til UL Vårsols fiskefestival
Sted: Ungdomshuset UL Vårsol, Sørfinnset
20. juli: Forberedelser og oppstart TV produksjon, Sørfinnset TV.
Sted: Kapellet, Sørfinnset
21.-25. juli: "Turister i eget land” med bobil.
Sørfinnset skole /the nord land vil gå inn i turistenes måte å erfare Gildeskål på, oppsøke de mest besøkte turistmålene, være turister for noen dager og se og erfare området med de reisendes sanser. Hvordan virker Sørfinnset om vi bruker Visit Norway, Visit Bodø og Tripavisor som rettesnor?
26 juli: Årets fjelltur: Sandhornet, dagstur. Godt fottøy er viktig!
28.-30. juli: Workshop i samisk båndeveving/-fletting med duojár Katarina S**k Skum. Vi prøver oss på veving av vuoddagat, samiske komagbånd under kyndig veiledning av Katarina, som har solid erfaring fra både tradisjonell duodji og samtidskunst. (OBS! Begrenset antall deltakere, påmelding kreves)
Sted: Sørfinnset
30. juli: Gammedagen: vedlikehold, servering av mat og program med samisk fokus. Sted: Gammen ved Kjellingvatnet, innkjørsel fra Kystriksveien.
2. august: Sommerfest 2025 Sted: Seivågen (vi ser an været)

Hello friends of Sørfinnset! This year the Sørfinnset skole/the nord land fade into its 22nd year. As usual everything on the program is free and open for all, but please note that the workshop by duojár Katarina S**k Skum do need a sign up, as it has limited capacity.
Summer program Sørfinnset skole / the nord land 2025:
"Tourist in one's own country”
When: July 18th (arrival day) until August 3rd (departure day)
Saturday July 19th: Contributing to the the UL Vårsol´s annual Fishing festival event
Where: Ungdomshuset, Sørfinnset
Sunday July 20th: Preparations and kick off for this year’s TV production, Sørfinnset TV
Where: the Chapel, Sørfinnset
July 21.-25th : "Tourist in one's own country” we will be on the road in our temporary mobile home and TV studio.
Sørfinnset skole / the nord land will delve into the tourists' way of experiencing Gildeskål. We will attend the most visited tourist destinations and be tourists for a few days, to experience and embed ourselves in the region from the perspective of a travelers' senses. What is the experience of a village such as Sørfinnset, if we use Tourist information platforms such as Visit Norway, Visit Bodø and Tripavisor as a guideline?
July 26th : The annual mountain hike: a day trip to Sandhornet. Remember to wear proper hiking shoes.
July 28.-30th: Workshop in sámi weaving/braiding of ribbons with duojár Katarina S**k Skum. With expert guidance from Katarina, we engage in learning to weave vuoddagat, sámi komag shoe ribbons, from the artist who has solid experience from working with both traditional duodji and contemporary art. (Please note: Limited number of participants, registration required)
Where: Ungdomshuset, Sørfinnset
July 30th: Gammedagen/Sámi Turf house day: maintenance and food serving accompanied by a program focusing on sámi topics.
Where: Gammen/Turfhouse by Kjellingvatnet, entrance from the Kystriksveien/the coastal route of Northern Norway
August 2nd: Summer party 2025 Where: Seivågen
