AN ENCOUNTER BETWEEN AN APEX PREDATOR & PREY ENDED UP SURPRISINGLY DIFFERENT THAN EXPECTED...it was reported that when a leopard chased a dog through a village, the dog slipped through a window into a locked bathroom, with the leopard right behind...but once they were both trapped together in the confined space, the interaction was unusual... the leopard approached, and the dog became overwhelmed with fear, huddling in a corner, not making a sound...but despite his hunger, the leopard didn’t pounce and 12 hours passed without anything happening...although the predator could easily have claimed his prey, he remained still, as if the situation had drained his desire to kill...and when forest department officials finally arrived, they tranquilized the big cat and safely removed him from the bathroom, saving the dog from being eaten...the explanation given by wildlife researchers is that wild animals are profoundly sensitive to their sense of freedom ...and when suddenly confined, their natural instincts can be overshadowed by an overwhelming awareness of captivity so both felt trapped...and the deep, instinctual need for freedom overrode even the most primal urge to eat...this is a reminder that freedom and well-being are deeply interconnected for all living beings, which means that the farms, testing labs and zoos all are torturing animals...because when deprived of the ability to act according to their nature, all sentient beings can lose the drive to follow their instincts...FREEDOM IS NOT JUST A PHYSICAL STATE, IT IS ESSENTIAL TO LIFE & THAT IS WHY HUMAN BEING VEGAN IS THE PARADIGM THAT WILL ELEVATE THIS PLANET -- Animal Freedom Fighter
