TREff @ Kiosken was a Show and Tell-style seminar organised by NKVN/KraftLab .vestnorge and Kiosken Studio in April 2026, where a diverse group of creative practitioners share their material knowledge, techniques, and processes related to woodworking.

The seminar offered a path into craft knowledge and special discoveries in their work and processes, with presentations by:

Everyone attending the event was also invited to bring a wooden object that represents their work for shared knowledge and mingling. Thank you to everyone who came and shared their work and knowledge, you really made the seminar so special and interesting.

The film is made by David Alrek
and the sound is by Rudi Valdersnes , a mix with rhythms made with his home-made wooden percussion instruments and drum machines.

This event was a part of our LØYND KUNSKAP / HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE networking event and workshop series that brings together diverse creative practitioners, researchers and entrepreneurs to present their work, share knowledge, and develop collaborative opportunities.

mmmbrace

solo exhibition by Nina Eriksson

The show mmmbrace comes out of Nina Eriksson’s research into material and conceptual frameworks for investigating q***r materiality, physicality, and imagination. The project pairs leather and latex: sister materials in association, yet entirely different in character. In mmmbrace, these two materials take and question their positions as they are formed into physical presences that long, warp, hold, and watch. The sculptural works in the show hint at a different world, gesture at hidden functions, and flirt with the line between what the body holds and what it is held by.

“The materials are fetishistic, and the way I work with leather and latex is fetishistic: I am devoted and curious in search of poetic and erotic potential. Through my sculptural and textual work I reflect on use and pleasure, and how a q***r, flirtatious approach can provide new representations of desire, identity and future.”

In addition to the exhibition, Eriksson has produced the publication mmmbrace, which launches during the exhibition period. It contains an experimental essay about the time, texts and themes that have gone into the show, as well as a text work made for live reading. This text work will be performed at the launch of the publication on May 10th at 15.00 - more information to come.

Nina Eriksson (1997, SE) is an artist and writer working and living in Bergen. She graduated with an MFA from Bergen Art Academy in 2025. Recently, her work has been shown at Gyldenpris Kunsthall, Recover Laboratory in Helsinki, and Nonneseter Kapell. She is currently showing work in Homografiska Museets (SE) acquisition exhibition for 2026, and is part of Conditions Studio (UK) Online Programme’s 2025/6 cycle.

Dear artists,
We are seeking wall-based artworks for Kiosken Shop’s exhibition program during 2026.

About Kiosken Kiosken is an interdisciplinary space for art, craft, and design. Our exhibition room hosts a yearly program of curated exhibitions and residencies. Connected to this is Kiosken Shop—the first space visitors encounter as they enter.

The shop features one-of-a-kind objects by local and international artists and makers, carefully curated and presented through shifting configurations.

We see the shop as a more flexible and approachable part of our space with a more commercial outlook, and we’d like to give focus to one or two artists at a time. Each selection will be presented for approximately 6 weeks before transitioning to the next.

In 2026, we will host 4 to 6 exhibition cycles. We invite professional artists interested in presenting their work in this context to submit proposals and portfolios. The work presented will be for sale, and we will actively promote it as such.

Please note: We welcome applications from artists everywhere, but we are unable to cover shipping costs to and from our space in Bergen, Norway. Please take this into consideration before applying.
