💫We asked: Francesco, what is currently your favorite Salsa-song?

💖 Francesco: My favourite song… I have so many to choose from:

Será Que Se Acabó by Los Van Van,
Mas Viejo Que Ayer, Mas Joven Que Mañana by Orquesta Revé,
Que Hay De Malo by Jerry Rivera
Soy Todo, Ay Dios Amparame by Los Van Van

And so many more! My favorite salsa are around 2 or 300 songs 😅

My favourite band is Los Van Van, they feel representative of me. I always explain that there is music with different evolution coming from the same roots. And then there are many styles to dance to the music and you will choose the style that fits you best. Then you can dance to every song you like, just changing the interpretation but not the style.

So I dance Mambo NY style On 2. But I love Los Van Van, so I dance it my way, and everybody should do that! If someone dances Cuban Casino style, and he likes Perdoname by Gilbert Sanatarosa, should they stop and take a seat? No way! Dance and enjoy, try to interpret as you can.

I love almost all different styles of music, so i dance everything - with my own style 😉
Son, Timba, Romantica, Mambo, Salsa from the 60s/70s, everything!

💖 Lasse: My favorite Salsa song is 'Asi vivo yo' by Orquesta Colon. I listen to it every time something in my life is off. To me, it is a Rock'n'roll-Salsa! I especially love the piano solo with dissonances at around 3:00. Listen to it! 😍

💫We asked: Ilias, what is currently your favorite Salsa-song?

💖Ilias: Let's go with 'Arrepentete' by Orquesta Broadway. Broadway is one of my favorite bands. The first time I heard them live, they played a version of this song that instantly stayed with me. Ever since, it’s been at the top of my list to choreograph. I’m still waiting for the right moment.
