💫We asked: DJ Vikingo, what is currently your favorite Salsa-song?

💖 DJ Vikingo: Amor y Control by Ruben Blades would probably be my favorite salsa song ever. I have liked and heard amazing songs since I heard Amor y Control. However, it was watching a dance by Rok and Beige dancing to this song that finalized my transition into the salsa/mambo scene. Their video and that song started me going down the rabbit hole that was Social Dance TV and Starmambo (now dance) video. Thanks to that video I ended up meeting some incredible people that I am honored to now call friends.

💫We asked: Iselin, what is currently your favorite Salsa-song?

💖 Iselin: I don’t think I can pick a favorite, because it’s so many good ones, but I tend to favor the groovy and jazzy ones... I think there is nothing as good as listening to the true masters, like Machito I never get tired of!

🫶 Do YOU 🫵 have a suggestion for a groovy salsa that is worth becoming Iselins next favorite? Write it in the comments.

💫We asked: Angie, what is currently your favorite Salsa-song?

💖 Angie: Phew, that is difficult! But since I am also a tanguera, I choose the song 'This Is Not a Tango' by The Juju Orchestra. This allows me (with the right partner) to dance a Salsango—a fusion between Salsa and Tango!

🫶 We hope we can find someone to dance a Salsango with Angie at Bergen Mambo Weekend 2027! What is YOUR 🫵 personal favorite song? Write it in the comments.
