This leg sleeve is an ever changing work in progress.

Truly understanding the idea someone carries in their heart and being able to shape this into a design is a process. A project of this scale needs trust and mutual understanding.

Ismael aka is a great blackwork artist from Madrid whose focus is on blackwork tattoos, freehand styles and black and grey tattoos with a penchant for dark style. Unique, original custom designs and great guy at that.

When you see an abstract tattoo done by our artist Johe, you can immediately recognize his style.

His energy and effort in every stroke aren’t just the result of a end photograph like the one you see; they’re the culmination of many years and countless hours of experience and hours in the solitude. A tattoo isn’t just the finished product; it’s a process. Before, in between, after and years…wearing an unique and original piece of art forever with pride.

Each of Johe’s tattoos is carefully drawn from a preliminary sketch, or several sketches, and sometimes he prefers to work directly on the skin, as the result is more dynamic. Every body’s skin and muscles are different, and so is every design. That’s why Johe always explores all possibilities and more to work on each project in a unique and personal way, delivering the best possible result for you.

We are very happy to be participating this year in the KunstRute Zierikzee 2026 open house edition. 30 galleries in the center of Zierikzee are participating, united with a common goal: to celebrate Art and Culture together! 🎭 🖼️

On the first Sunday of the month, the participating galleries from each gallery on this route open their studios and galleries to the public.

This summer, we welcome you on Sundays: April 5, May 3, June 7, July 5, August 2, September 6, and October 4, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Come and visit our art gallery, meet Johe in his studio to talk about what we artists love most: art and culture! This is how you discover the story behind art and crafts.

In addition, the work of the invited artists can be enjoyed each year at Dikke Toren, the old Sint-Jacobshofje market square, the Hotel Mondragon, and the Noordhavenpoort monument. The art route, which begins at the gate of the historic city center, leads to monuments, artworks, and poems in public spaces.
