Me: Let’s make Girl with a Pearl Earring (the brilliant painting made by my fellow countryman Vermeer) entirely out of tape. Yes, tape. Packaging tape, masking tape, duct tape, you name it.

So I obviously used a LOT of tape. One of the reasons for this: I found that when you put a transparent tape on top of another tape, you can get quite subtle tones. And if you put yet another layer on top of that… even more subtle tones possible 🤯
How many pieces of tape did I paste on there? I don’t know, must be thousands. I’ll post some closeup photos later.
