Sofie Aaldering is a contemporary textile artist based close to Arnhem. Her work explores material, structure, and form in a careful and refined way, turning delicate textiles into sculptural pieces. The result is a visual language where lightness and volume, as well as delicacy and monumentality, are in constant dialogue.⁠

From June 15–21, Rademakers Gallery is proudly presenting works by Jens Buis and Carla van de Puttelaar at Photo Basel, booth 7. ⁠Today, we're pleased to introduce the work of Jens Buis.⁠
⁠
At the core of Jens’ practice are what he calls "filmographic paintings": works derived from analogue video footage, often sourced from personal and family archives. From these recordings, he isolates abstracted stills and reconstructs them through a specialized printing technique. As viewers move in front of the work, the composition shifts and merges, revealing different layers and moments depending on perspective.⁠

From June 25–28, Rademakers Gallery participates in Ibiza for the first time, featuring the works of Joana Schneider. Known for its vibrant and forward-thinking atmosphere, the fair brings together contemporary art, experimentation, and dialogue in a setting inspired by the island’s creative spirit.⁠

On Sunday, 7 June 2026, textile artist Sofie Aaldering opens the doors to her studio near Arnhem. From 13:00 to 17:00, everybody is warmly invited to explore and acquire a selection of her available works.⁠

Sofie is one of our young talents, working primarily with tulle, mesh, and layered textile structures. Her practice is marked by a refined investigation of material, structure, and form. Through a fully hand-executed process, she transforms delicate textiles into sculptural works with a striking physical presence.⁠
