New work! For my upcoming exhibition ‘Building: A Home’ I’ve been working on a new series of assemblages, collages and screenprints. This work is called ‘Mal’ and contains objects that i found during the (never ending) renovation of our old house (1900)

Noop, this is not a burned toast. It’s a slice of inked bread. For my upcoming book ‘Fijn Volkoren’ I inked a full loaf of bread and printed it on film. Even though this bread was baked in a factory every slice leaves a unique imprint. My new book will be handprinted an bound in the limited edition of 50, will contain all 22 slices of bread and will be released during Grafixx Zinefest in the last weekend of November.

These small collages are made with screenprinted paper. they are currently available as part of my solo exhibition “slow reducer”.

Every colour used in my screenprinted work is mixed by hand from various basic colours into exactly that specific colour needed. This doesn’t happen by magic but takes several adjustments before success. In the last 26 years of printing a lot of these testers have been made and ended up at the studio walls. Being surrounded by these on a daily basis they eventually became headliners in my new project ‘Fingerprints’. You can see the first selection now at my solo exhibition ‘Slow Reducer’
