Pandora's Playspace

Pandora's Playspace A small, intimate studio (42m2) for Dance, Movement, Expressive Arts Therapy/Education/Consulting, Im

For years I have dreamed of a home from which I could offer my many gifts that all center around everything to do with creativity: movement and dance sessions, intermodal (art, music, dance, theater, writing) play and atelier sessions, expressive arts training courses for professional and students of psycology and art and youthworkers... dance meditations and accessible classes for people with chr

onic illnesses/challenges such as CFS, Parkinson's, Fibromyalgia, Chronic Injuries, Depression, Anxiety Disorders, Arthritis, etc., movement, music and dance theater improvisation sessions... endless possibilities. I have over 35 years of experience in using all the creative expressive art forms in individual and group work - but for a long time, nowhere from which to ground it. I did free-lance for many years, worked for the cultural center for the University of utrecht and University College Utrecht, where most of my offerings were received very well among the students and seekers of more creative and constructive ways to live. For the past 6 years I have worked very little due to injuries and a battle with chronic Lyme disease, but now I'm strong enough, and energized enough to dive into a new realm, a new space. Pandoras Playspace is a subsidized studio space from the Gemeente Utrecht which allows me to rent for less than a normal-priced studio. In this space, art should be made and presented to the public, and it will be through the imrpovisation/dance theater group that is forming (more details later). Besides this, I am allowed to give classes and to make various offerings to the community as a social entrepeneur. I want this space to vibrate with the power of people using their creativity to solve problems, to find peace, to connect with one another and to co-create joyful, thoughtful, challenging, and breathtaking experiences in the art of living as a human in the 21st century. Whether it's a Sunday Morning Dance Prayers session, or a mixed disciplines atelier session, or the long-term expressive arts training course, or the regular or occasional meditative dance session, or an individual or couples therapy session, or a project that hasn't even been hatched yet, you are welcome here. With your doubts, insecurities, vibrant colors, different backgrounds and physical conditions, your opinions and needs count. Looking forward for you to come and play in this beautiful new space. Wit hlove,

A couple of months ago we added to our core team, and we are ready to do so again, to fill in some of the gaps. The Netherlands Expressive Arts Association (NEXAA)'s goal is to serve as an advocate for & promoter of the discipline of intermodal expressive arts therapy in all relevant areas of Dutch society: education, medicine, therapy/psychology, etc. After more than a decade of informal activity, NEXAA is in the process of becoming a fully registered and recognized membership-based non-profit organization.

For this goal, we are looking for additional support (from anywhere in the Netherlands). As an international team, we work primarily in the English language, but we are looking to strengthen the team with fluent Dutch speakers as well. You do not need to be an expressive/creative arts therapist or professional; you only need enthusiasm and curiosity about the potential of the expressive arts and a keen desire to help create something that will help to better our world and the potential for healing.

With a bit of help, the Netherlands Expressive Arts Association will be born into the world as a registered organization soon! Consider to answer the call to come join our team! The link to the application is in the text.

We’re seeking Inspired Members to Join our Team! (nederlands beneden)

Subject: Core team members application
Deadline: 23:59 December 30, 2023. Applicants will receive email confirmation of their application. Interviews will take place (online) in the beginning to middle of January 2024.

The Netherlands Expressive Arts Association (NEXAA) is looking for 4-6 new core team members based in the Netherlands with an affinity and enthusiasm for the arts who can strengthen the NEXAA team in the process of becoming a registered non-profit membership-based organization.

NEXAA has existed as an informal, unregistered 1-2 person organization since around 2010. The goal is to serve as an advocate for & promoter of the discipline of intermodal expressive arts therapy in all relevant areas of Dutch society: education, medicine, therapy/psychology, etc. After more than a decade of informal activity, NEXAA is in the process of becoming a fully registered and recognized membership-based non-profit organization.

For this goal, we are looking for additional support. Besides good Dutch communication skills, these are the areas in which we welcome additional resources:

Finance - accounting, taxes, and raising funds.

Marketing - Promotions, social media management - content creator, networking, brand management and visibility, graphic design skills, video and montage making, etc.

Ethics, inclusion, and diversity.

Business management, executive skills.

Research (arts-based is a plus).

Involvement:

At the moment, we meet once a week for up to 3 hours and work additional hours as needed to fulfill assignments/task goals. Once NEXAA is established, we expect the involvement to be 1-2 online or live in-person meetings a month, plus additional time as needed to fulfill task goals. In more intense periods, such as conferences or workshops and program development, involvement can be more, depending on the function.

What we offer:
This is a volunteer position, but once we start receiving funding and membership fees, we will be able to allocate money for expenses such as travel, and nominal per diem or supplement.
As part of the core team, you will have free access to all future workshops and training we offer.
You will be part of a dynamic and enthusiastic team of professionals who are determined to put the discipline of Intermodal Expressive Arts on the map in the Netherlands, and who each have an extensive international network of ExA professionals and experience. We are playful and dedicated, and we have a vision and inspiration to share! There will be many possibilities of collaboration and new opportunities, and we will supply reference/recommendation letters to all core team members who serve for at least 6 months.

How to apply:
If this all sounds exciting to you and you are interested in participating in launching this new initiative with us, we ask you to fill in this form and attach your CV at: https://forms.gle/7dtT29TPcQhzj3sf6

If you have any additional questions about this position, you can contact Suzan Lemont at [email protected]

Onderwerp: Core team members application
Deadline: 23:59 December 30, 2023.

· Het introduceren en uitbreiden van ‘Intermodal Expressive Arts’ als een realistische en efficiënte methode voor het bevorderen van het geestelijk welzijn in Nederland;
