The Dirk Witte Music Store was established in 1939 and is located right in the city centre of Amsterdam. The Vintage Shop is a subdivision of Dirk Witte that buys and sells vintage musical instruments and gear such as (bass-)guitars, effects and amplifiers. Gibson is celebrating its 100 year anniversary of building flattop guitars! 💯 And to commemorate this, they released some really cool 12-fret models 😍
These are the Gibson Century J-45 and L-00 12-fret acoustic guitars. Both models feature solid spruce tops and solid mahogany back- and sides and really vibey thin sunburst nitro finishes. They also feature headstocks with the historic silk-screen script logos paired with 3-in-a-row open gear plastic-button tuners.

Although these models didn’t really exist in the 20s or 30s, they do a really incredible job at capturing the historic, early Gibson flattop spirit!

Check out this incredibly rare dealer-exclusive 1999 Les Paul Classic ‘Gear UP’! 🖤🤘🏼
These models were made in the late 90s/early 2000s exclusively for Gibson-dealers and were meant for customers try out pickups, so it was never a production model. The guitar comes with 9 individual pickup-blocks consisting of different variations of Humbuckers and P90’s.
The swapping system is very easy to use as you can just simply pop the pick-up blocks in and out of the body, no soldering or unscrewing needed!

Check out this killer 1975 Ibanez 2402 “lawsuit” double neck. Ibanez was known for making a whole range of copies of iconic American guitar models in the 1970’s, Gibson and Fender alike. Obviously heavily inspired (to say the least) by the Gibson EDS-1275 double-neck, this model fits perfectly in this era for Ibanez.
Although it’s not built like a real Gibson (which is to be expected for the price), this double neck is built really well and is in a really clean shape and comes with its original (and very large) hardshell case!

Check out this clean 1964 Fender Bass VI. Nope, not a reissue, ACTUALLY from 1964 🤯
The Fender Bass VI was first introduced in 1961, kind of as response to brands like Danelectro also making six-string basses. It’s really nothing like a regular bass guitar, not just because of the extra strings. The Bass VI features an off-set body, a 30 inch scale-length, three Jaguar-style pickups and even a vibrato. It has been played by legends like The Beatles, Jack Bruce and Glen Campbell.

This particular example is all original and in just a beautiful condition, it evens comes with the original strings in the case. True collector grade stuff! 🔥

This guitar sounds just like a record! 😍
Check out this super vibey Gibson Southern Jumbo from 1967. This configuration of the Southern Jumbo is pretty much the same as the Hummingbird, featuring a square-shoulder body with spruce top, mahogany back & sides and a 24.75 inch scale length.
This particular one also features some stunning back & sides and comes in its original hardshell case!

Ben gevoelig voor dit soort dingen, gebeurt bijna nooit dat ik een gitaar koop die ik zelf wil houden. Maar deze is wel erg leuk 🥰
Gibson RD Artist afgestempeld door Gibson op 13 maart 1980 ( mijn geboorte dag ) gekocht door Dirk Witte. Verkocht door mijn vader aan Bart ( een klant ) 46 jaar geleden. Terwijl ik boven de winkel lag.

Gisteren heb ik deze van Bart ingeruild....

Deze gaat toch maar met mij mee.

Check out this stunning Played In Heritage H-150 in a flamey Dirty Lemon Burst. Heritage make some of the best Gibson-inspired instruments out there, with top-quality USA-parts, tone woods and playability all in Gibson’s original factory in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The H-150 is especially high quality because it’s made in the Heritage Custom Shop, light aging included! 😍

Jeff Beck was arguably the ultimate guitar-virtuoso, and this incredible Epiphone Inspired By Gibson Custom is based on his iconic 1954 Gibson Les Paul! 😍🖤
Now if you know the history of the Gibson Les Paul, you can probably already tell that 1954 Les Pauls don’t quite look like this.
Beck’s Les Paul was heavily modified. It was routed for humbuckers to replace the P90’s, refinished in a unique “Ox Blood” finish, had replaced tuners, replaced wiring and even the neck was probably replaced at some point.
The guitar is nothing short of legendary, as it can be heard (and seen) on his groundbreaking 1975 album ‘Blow By Blow’, and was sold for over £1m in 2025 (luckily the price of this Epiphone is nowhere near that 😉)
