It is always a pleasure to recharge at Krossbu Turisthytta, where the staff are welcoming and helpful.

my first hike to Styggedalsbreen - 6.5 km long, 460 meters of elevation gain.

What do you do when you’re almost at the top and it starts getting foggy?
Hope for a bit of luck... and I had it. 😃

My first leg is done: I drove from Larvik, via Kongsberg and Hemsedal (including Rjukanfossen), to Lake Tyin. That’s where I went wild camping for the first time. An incredible experience.

🇳🇴 My adventure of 2026. Driving my small car through Norway, past various glacier regions and plateaus. Traveling with hiking boots, a tent, and my camera. I start on September 6 in Larvik and end on September 25 in Kristiansand. From September 17 to 24, I will be making a stopover near Hildal, Odda. A special journey to enjoy the colorful nature, silence, and breathtaking landscapes.
