Today’s the day! Tilburg University’s international students are landing in the city, sorting out all the practical stuff before the real adventure starts.

And we’re right there as partner of Tilburg University, just like we have been for 8 years now! 🙌

Some of the best people we know started as a quick “hi” at this exact table. Like , who we met years ago at Arrival Day and who’s a very valued regular now ♥️

Some students join us that same week, others take a few years to find their way to International Center Tilburg, but the door’s always open and we can’t wait to meet you either way 🎉

🎵 Reeshof Muzenconcerten | Wed
Who says nothing happens in the Reeshof? Free open-air concerts in Reeshofpark, every Wednesday in August. Bring a blanket.

🌳 Wilhelminapark viert de zomer | 12-23 Aug
From next week, 12 days of live music, workshops, and food stalls turning the park into one big hangout.

🎓 TOP WEEK | 17-19 Aug
Start your studies right. New student year, loud Spoorzone (the good kind)🎉

🏙️ Kaapstad | 21-23 Aug
Free art festival in the city center. Surprise installations everywhere, ending in 5,000 blocks toppling through the streets like a 2km domino run! 🀄

🪩 DRAAIMOLEN | 4-5 Sep
Independent electronic festival, deep in a forest, at an old military complex the city fought to save. Expect crazy lights and art installations. 👀

𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙁𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙨 📸✨
Pub Quiz brain-freezes, Community Drinks confessions, Language Café small talk that turned into big talk, and (let’s be honest) at least one World Cup night that got a little too loud 🙈⚽. January to July was a whole season of moments 🫶

We even brought 10 political parties into one room to connect with internationals face-to-face 🗳️. Turns out democracy and deep conversation pair pretty well.

Kermis lights, Comedy Club laughs, and a whole lot of new friends made along the way 🎡

We’re not fully quiet this August either. A few smaller get-togethers are still on the calendar 👀 and the full September program? Already live. Link in bio to see what’s coming 🫶

It’s time for our yearly field trips in the summer!

This weekend, we’re kicking it off with a trip to the monestary-meets-brewery-called-abbey Abdij Onze Lieve Vrouw van Koningshoeven. Visit the garden, enjoy beer where it’s brewed and spend some time with our amazing community! 🍻

Next weekend, we’re organizing a potluck in Spoorpark Tilburg. Bring your favorite dish and drinks from home (or takeaway, we won’t tell anyone! 👀) and enjoy Spoorpark in its best form: together with (new) friends! 🫶

Our back office is on a break! The summer Dutch courses are started up, the summer events will be handled by our amazing volunteers, and our full event program from August until December will be launched soon. But in the meantime, we will be enjoying a few relaxed summer weeks in Porto! 🇵🇹🍷
