𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙘𝙞𝙧𝙘𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙧 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙘𝙚 2022.
🔎 Alongside his collective work with Company ALUD and his main apparatus, aerial straps, he is exploring new artistic territories with a growing curiosity for smoke.
Smoke opens a different dimension - ephemeral, unpredictable, and constantly shifting. Seraphim is interested in how this uncontrollable element can become a scenographic partner rather than just an effect, and how far it can be guided while keeping its wild nature.

𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙅𝙚𝙖𝙣-𝘽𝙖𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚 “𝙅𝙗“ 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙨 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙝, 𝙗𝙤𝙩𝙝 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙣 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙯𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙁𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙮𝙨 𝘾𝙞𝙧𝙘𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙩.
🔎 In first year of school we started with the two of us but having only one trapeze. In consequence we needed to share: space, time and responsibility. Training became a duo, though on stage it was never presented as one. Our research project comes from a place of deep trust into each other and the desire to explore our discipline static trapeze in a new way. With a playful approach we are looking forward to step together on one bar, discovering the dynamics, conflicts and games that this small shared space “trapeze“ brings with it.

Are you a circus-, dance and/or (musical)theatre maker who is at the start or at a turning point in your artistic career ánd do you have verifiable connections to the city of Tilburg and are you searching for a place to get to work on your artistic research, experiment or artistic development?

𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗟𝗬 𝗡𝗢𝗪 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 2 𝘁𝗼 𝟯 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀, 𝘀𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗺 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝘂𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗶𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴!
Makershuis Tilburg is open to everyone: to both makers who have graduated from Fontys Academy of the Arts (.academyofthearts), makers who studied at other academies for Applied art Education or self-educated artists.

Via the link below you can apply for a trajectory in the period of SEP-DEC 2026. Applying is possible until 22nd MARCH 2026 at the latest.

As a maker you can find a place at Makershuis Tilburg to join at least óne of the partners to get to work on your development and research question. The Makers trajectories give you the opportunity to take a deeper dive into a research or experiment for the course of 2 to 3 weeks, spread over a maximum period of half a year. Once you have started your Makers trajectory at Makershuis Tilburg, you will immediately be part of the ever growing Makershuis-community. Met onze plug en play AI acteur ‘T.O.M.M.Y.” starten wij dit gesprek. In een interactieve theatrale installatie neemt collectief Wraeth jou mee in een humane - non menselijke interactie met een nieuwe tool van het theater van de toekomst.

WAT HEBBEN WE GELACHEN is een tragikomische r***e over de waarde van de artiest in een perfect technologische wereld waarin dystopische spreekkoren worden afgewisseld met onbevreesde koorzang. Een absurde aaneenschakeling van acts die soms de vorm aanneemt van een clownsoptreden, maar steeds meer op een koortsdroom begint te lijken. We zien de clowns in een wanhopige poging te vechten voor hun bestaansrecht. Maar tegen wie of wat vechten ze eigenlijk?
