We Solo Men presents an intense physical world centered on emotion, rhythm, and physicality. In the performance, Ann Van den Broek creates a tension between control and surrender, precision and instinct. This piece from 2009 is now brought back to life

The performers move with a strong physical presence, resulting in a layered and dynamic performance.

With We Solo Men, Ann Van den Broek presents a direct and powerful choreography full of tension, detail, and intensity.

In June 2026, We Solo Men returns to Sommerszene Salzburg, restaged and performed by BODHI PROJECT.

This is a snippet from the mini-documentary about Co(te)lette. With this film, we aim to provide more insight into the work, its themes, the creative process, and the significance of Co(te)lette. A production that went back on tour 20 years after its creation.

Not everyone reacted the same way to Co(te)lette. Some felt a sense of recognition, others felt uncomfortable. Some walked away, while others felt empowered.

But it sparked conversation everywhere. About the body. About being a woman. About how we view sensuality, aggression, and emotion.

Perhaps that is precisely the power of art: not that everyone feels the same way, but that no one remains indifferent.

In June 2026, We Solo Men a choreography by Ann Van den Broek returns at Sommerszene Salzburg, restaged and performed by BODHI PROJECT.

Originally created in 2009, the performance explores the tension between the urge to entertain and the inability to truly communicate. What begins as a search for connection slowly turns into isolation, frustration and a desperate cry for attention. Through rhythm, repetition, sound, movement and body language, We Solo Men exposes patterns of human behaviour and emotional states in a raw and physical way.

Tickets are avalaible via the SZENE Salzburg website

For Co(te)lette, we do not start from movement, but from emotion.

During the rehearsal process, the dancers first explore what an emotional state physically does to the body: what happens to the breathing, the gaze, the weight of the body? Through imagination and embodiment, we search for that physical urgency before the choreography even begins.

Only then we begin with the movements, counts and precision. Layer by layer, Co(te)lette takes shape balancing on the fine line between control and surrender.

What happens when we stop asking the body to perform and simply let it be?

In The Quiet, choreographer Anthony van Gog invites you into an intimate, sensory landscape of light, sound and bodies. Three performers lie on a raised platform, where the smallest movements; breath, tension, tremors, unfold into a powerful, almost hypnotic experience.

A raw and immersive performance that brings you closer to what it means to be a body: vulnerable, physical, and real.

Co-produced by DansBrabant and WArd/waRD, and performed by an exceptional cast of dancers.

Step closer. Or take distance. What seems still is full of movement.

Premiering at Spring Festival! For more dates and information check DansBrabant.nl

echo_re_echo - a creation by Ann Van den Broek & Gregory Frateur

What pulls us together? What pushes us apart?

A high-voltage dance concert where movement, music, voice and emotion collide. Ann Van den Broek returns to the stage alongside Gregory Frateur (Dez Mona), with live music by Nicolas Rombouts and two dancers embodying inner tension and desire.

Monumental yet intimate. Raw yet fragile. A performance that keeps resonating.

“Being liked is irrelevant in this electrifying dance concert.” – de Volkskrant (NL)

Co(te)lette by Ann Van den Broek returns after twenty years with a powerful new cast and a sense of urgency that resonates perhaps more deeply today than ever before.

What was once groundbreaking now feels necessary once again: a physical and confrontational performance about femininity, power, and vulnerability.

“Raw, physical, and more relevant than ever.” ★★★★★ — de Volkskrant

Last week, Rio Staelens stepped on stage to photograph a work that lives on the edge of control and surrender.

Co(te)lette is built on repetition, movements returning, again and again, until they shift. Until something cracks open. What you see on stage is intense, precise, and full of emotion.

But around those moments, there is another rhythm:
breathing, resetting, focusing, preparing to go again.

The scene photo's will be posted soon, but for now you get a glimpse of te behind the scenses.

In Co(te)lette, repetition becomes obsession.
Bodies push, resist, surrender.
Beauty and control start to blur.

An award winning performance that doesn’t ask for your attention, it takes it.
