Last Sunday, artists, philosophers, performers and visitors came together for the final edition of De Vijf Ontmoetingen 2026: Do We Want to See Everything?

Through performances, films, the workshop and conversation, we explored censorship, artistic freedom, images, violence, nudity and the shifting boundaries of what is considered acceptable. Not in search of simple answers, but to make space for complexity, disagreement and curiosity.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, contributed their perspective and helped make this afternoon and De Vijf Ontmoetingen possible!

Willen we alles zien?

P***o is met één klik binnen handbereik en extreme geweldsscènes streamen moeiteloos onze woonkamers binnen. Ondertussen worden tepels gecensureerd op sociale media, taboedoorbrekende kunst van platforms verwijderd en ongewenste denkbeelden kapotgeframed. In een tijd van cancel culture en online bedreigingen stellen we de vraag: mogen we alles zeggen en tonen of zijn er grenzen aan onze artistieke vrijheid?

In deze ontmoeting onderzoeken we het spanningsveld tussen de vrijheid van expressie en de keuze om niet alles te hoeven zien.
