in your real life you meet and talk to people you and they chose to be with.
On socials your wall/life is flooded by people ull never meet, know nothing about beside the fact that they bitch about the stuff u find funny. most now are not even real and will not give u a glass of water when thristy.
u spend so much time transforming your "life" into zeroes and one-s.
ever thought of spending that time relating to humans? if it doesnt come easy and naturally, dont forget that practice improves. and you dont need million of followers, even 2-3 friends would be much productive to your being.

Good BBC program (BBC is real news. the program is "Inside the Rage Machine")
In principle nothing new but this time whistleblowers from the big social media dinosaurs, documents from their internal communications etc).

The point is:
they make money pushing up front what people repost, which is hate, lies, dirt.
(why humans are delighted to make Hate their best friend, is a different conversation. )
People repost without checking, that spreads, the algorithms push those post on top. You are flooded by such posts and depending on your frustration with life, you believe that.

The program gives examples of such incidents, when riots started, people died FOR NOTHING but 1 intentionally fake news post.

Probably there's a small solution for that, just repost true news, significant tones, and repost and repost because the algorithms are free to consider those important, when they have sufficient reposts. Your chair activism is important.

Again, the big guys and the algorithms dont care what you post (for them it's just zeroes and ones, numbers that make them money)

You find funny a deepfake video, repost it, it gets viral, it can destroy someone's life, it can start a riot.

I watched yday a 50 minutes piano concert staged with a contemporary dance company. (details at the end)
It's difficult to keep my mind Relaxed on the notes (as opposed to stressed concentration). Watch the dance performers put their bodies into intense work and still make it look like a breeze.
I often wonder how such people can do that, how their nature is so different from mine. I dont mean "they do it with a lot of practice" but the stuff that motivates them to practice until they get into the flow and there's only the love-talent manifesting itself.

Im talking about 2 art forms that are twins of Time: only the now exists, the rest is remembered and witnessed by our memories.
In painting for instance, which is flooding the world and the internet, it's easy to detect the crap work. Shut up, dont throw me " it's a matter of taste", taste can be informed, educated and you can have an inclination (or not!) for good taste.
Imagine you go to a piano and dance concert and the people on stage serve you the equivalent of the trash I was talking about: piano keys missed, piano untuned, dancers bumping into each other by accident. It's easier to distinguish quality in such impermanent art forms.
I dont think the flow in which the performers exist (during a performance) takes the public into account. I dont dance for you, Im not a supporting dancer in a Madonna show.

Back to the difference between these people and me. Some are massively artistic, some split the atom or research biotechnology.
Why does it feel to me that society pays far less respect and interest to these people?

The program I watched was on Arte (also available online I think) "Vanessa Wagner & Friends", piano etudes by Philip Glass (that's another thought, how can people transform themselves into notes?), with Chloe Moglia, Kader Attou, Accrorap Dance Company and some very appropriate stage/lights design
For 50 minutes I was part of stuff that dreams are made of.
