Ons seizoen in retrospectief. Eén programma per keer.

Dit seizoen nam 'Wildsong' het publiek mee in de dynamische en surrealistische werelden van twee gerenommeerde choreografen en vierde het de opmerkelijke veelzijdigheid van onze NDT 1-dansers.

Jan Martens' veelgeprezen wereldpremière 'KID IN A CANDY SHOP' wist zowel publiek als critici te overtuigen, terwijl associate choreograaf Marcos Morau's geliefde 'Horses' terugkeerde naar het podium met zijn kenmerkende mix van theatraliteit en verbeeldingskracht.

Voordat we het hoofdstuk 'Wildsong' afsluiten, duiken we nog één keer in deze onvergetelijke werelden.

Our season in retrospect. One programme at a time.

This season, 'Wildsong' immersed audiences in the dynamic and surreal worlds of two renowned choreographers, celebrating the remarkable versatility of our NDT 1 dancers.

Jan Martens' acclaimed world premiere 'KID IN A CANDY SHOP' captivated audiences and critics alike, while associate choreographer Marcos Morau's beloved 'Horses' returned to the stage with its signature blend of theatricality and imagination.

Vandaag is de laatste dag van de 'NDT Summer Intensive'.

Twee weken geleden verwelkomden we 60 dansers van over de hele wereld bij NDT. Sindsdien hebben zij iedere dag in de studio gewerkt, onderzocht, samengewerkt en zichzelf uitgedaagd. Samen hebben zij nieuwe perspectieven ontdekt, ervaringen gedeeld en waardevolle verbindingen opgebouwd.

Vanavond presenteren de deelnemers tijdens de Open Night nieuwe creaties van Jermaine Spivey, Anne Jung en Micaela Taylor. Een mooie afsluiting van twee weken vol nieuwsgierigheid, creativiteit en samenwerking.

Terugkijkend op deze bijzondere editie van de 'NDT Summer Intensive' willen we alle deelnemers van harte feliciteren en bedanken voor hun openheid, inzet en inspiratie. We wensen jullie veel succes met alles wat hierna op jullie pad komt.

Today marks the final day of this year's 'NDT Summer Intensive'.

Two weeks ago, 60 dancers from around the world arrived at NDT, ready to learn, create and challenge themselves. Since then, they have spent every day in the studio, exploring new ideas, building connections and growing together as artists.

This evening, they will share the results of that journey during our Open Night, presenting new creations by Jermaine Spivey, Anne Jung and Micaela Taylor. It is a celebration of two weeks of curiosity, creativity and collaboration.

As we look back on this special edition of the 'NDT Summer Intensive', we'd like to congratulate every participant and thank them for their openness, dedication and generosity throughout the programme. We can't wait to see where your journey takes you next.

De eerste week van de 'NDT Summer Intensive' zit erop en wat was het een inspirerend begin.

De afgelopen dagen hebben deelnemers van over de hele wereld zich ondergedompeld in twee weken vol training, onderzoek en ontmoeting. In de studio's werd volop gewerkt, geëxperimenteerd en samengewerkt, met ruimte om nieuwe perspectieven te ontdekken en van elkaar te leren.

Zoals choreograaf en NDT Associate Choreographer Jermaine Spivey in deze video vertelt, is choreografie slechts één onderdeel van het geheel. Het werk komt pas echt tot leven door hoe iedere danser ermee omgaat, erop reageert en er een eigen betekenis aan geeft.

Dit is een eerste indruk van een bijzondere week. We kijken uit naar alles wat de tweede week nog zal brengen.

One week in, and what an inspiring start it has been.

Over the past few days, participants from around the world have immersed themselves in the 'NDT Summer Intensive'. The studios have been filled with movement, curiosity and collaboration as they explore new ways of creating, learning and connecting.

As choreographer and NDT Associate Choreographer Jermaine Spivey shares in this video, choreography is only one piece of the puzzle. What truly brings the work to life is how each dancer responds to it, shapes it and makes it their own.

This first week has been full of discovery, dedication and shared experiences. Here's a glimpse of the journey so far. We look forward to everything that the second week will bring.

Ons seizoen in retrospectief. Eén voorstelling tegelijk.

Afgelopen seizoen bracht 'I dreamt, it was' twee uitgesproken choreografische stemmen samen in een programma over emotie, verbeelding en menselijke verbinding.

Met een wereldpremière van onze associate choreografen Imre & Marne van Opstal onderzocht NDT 2 hoe de ruimtes om ons heen ons kunnen bevrijden, maar ook beperken. Daarnaast beleefde 'SAABA' van Sharon Eyal & G*i Behar zijn NDT 2-première en nam het publiek mee in een hypnotiserende wereld vol kwetsbaarheid, ritme en krachtige beweging.

Voordat we afscheid nemen van 'I dreamt, it was', stappen we nog één keer in de betoverende wereld van 'SAABA'.

This season, 'I dreamt, it was' invited us into two powerful worlds, each exploring the emotions and connections that shape our lives.

With a world premiere by our associate choreographers Imre & Marne van Opstal and the NDT 2 premiere of Sharon Eyal & G*i Behar's 'SAABA', the programme celebrated bold artistic voices and the extraordinary versatility of our NDT 2 dancers.

Zestig jonge dansers van over de hele wereld zijn aangekomen in Amare in Den Haag voor twee weken vol trainingen, creatieve sessies, ontmoeting en uitwisseling. Samen ontdekken zij nieuwe perspectieven, dagen ze zichzelf uit en delen ze hun passie voor hedendaagse dans.

We zijn blij om alle deelnemers bij NDT te verwelkomen en kijken ernaar uit om hun ontwikkeling de komende weken te volgen.

Aan alle deelnemers: heel veel succes, plezier en een onvergetelijke tijd. Haal het mooiste uit deze bijzondere ervaring.

Today, the 'NDT Summer Intensive' begins.

Sixty talented young dancers from around the world have arrived at our home in Amare, The Hague, for two weeks of training, creating, learning and connecting. Together, they will explore new perspectives, challenge themselves and share their passion for contemporary dance.

We're delighted to welcome this year's participants to NDT and look forward to seeing them grow over the coming weeks.

Aankomende maandag verwelkomen we 60 jonge dansers van over de hele wereld in Den Haag voor de 'NDT Summer Intensive'.

Gedurende twee weken volgen zij een intensief programma met trainingen, creatieve sessies en ontmoetingen met dansers, docenten en choreografen van NDT. Samen onderzoeken ze nieuwe manieren van bewegen, dagen ze zichzelf uit en bouwen ze aan waardevolle verbindingen, in en buiten de studio.

We kijken ernaar uit om hun nieuwsgierigheid, energie en creativiteit te zien groeien.
