Near Stoic is the alias of Tunisian, Paris-based composer and producer Skander Ben Yahia, whose work explores emotion and cinematic storytelling through ambient electronica.
His debut Notebook (Thoughts & Short Stories) (Third Kind Records , UK, 2021) was praised as "eclectic and soothing" by Bob Fischer on Electronic Sound, while 2023's Metamorphosis EP (Gated Recordings, UK) expanded into more complex dreamlike soundscapes and rhythmic elements. His track "Blossom" was featured in the environmental compilation "Place: Tunisia," curated by Azu Tiwaline.

Merging field recordings, personal audio artifacts, and analog/digital synthesizers, Near Stoic creates immersive atmospheres for both intimate listening and multi-speaker systems. His latest album Amor Fati (Uncloud Editions) was released on January 30th 2026 and explores self-reflection through his signature cinematic approach.

AUBERG1NE is the electronic music project of Kleanthis Karapiperis, a sound engineer and musician from Thessaloniki, Greece, now based in Nuremberg, Germany. He studied Music Technology and has worked as a concert and touring sound engineer since 2000. A guitarist and founding member of Scab Level and Monofo, he has long been active in the Greek alternative music scene. As AUBERG1NE, he releases IDM/electronic music, with two EPs on the Greek label Numb Capsule Records and contributions to compilations by M.O.L Records, Dyadik, Pulse State and Moniker Eggplant.

This live set was recorded on 19.12.25 at the REVERIA 01 event Weinerei Nürnberg. Recorded and

Kamoun has developed a signature sound where percussive intensity meets atmospheric depth, blending polyrhythmic drums with modern electronic textures. His fascination for traditional tribal percussion, paired with influences from minimalist field recordings and British bass culture, generates a hypnotic energy that resonates with the raw power of contemporary electronic music.

Ranging from deep tribal grooves to high-energy dance tracks, Kamoun’s mixes fuse rhythmic complexity with avant-garde electronics sounds, forming a unique sonic journey. As co-founder of Sketchy Lines Records, Kamoun plays a pivotal role in pushing Brussels’ underground electronic scene, constantly exploring new hybrid sounds.

His DJ sets & Productions are an intricate tapestry of rhythmic complexity and layered textures, drawing listeners into otherworldly hypnotic states. Kamoun’s distinct sound, which blends traditional elements with cutting-edge innovations, leaves a lasting impression that is both captivating and unforgettable.

Edward J, formerly known as Generate, is an electronic musician living in The Hague. Blending jungle, breaks, and jazz, Edward creates emotive, detail-rich, bass-driven music with complex rhythms and refined melodies. As a core member of INDEX, Edward helps curate and organize events while also playing a key role in keeping the collective running. At the end of 2023, he released a Split EP with foresense on The Hague-based label antilounge.

During HYPERFOCUS, he will release his new ‘Azurite’ EP which will be available as a colored- limited edition vinyl, with beautiful artwork by Timeaus, released on Alberta Balsam her label Terra Atomika!

Saturday the 1st of Nov at HYPERFOCUS in The Grey Space in the Middle we have Trois-Quarts Taxi System Who'll be doing a live set!

Producer, live performer, sound artist and DJ, Trois-Quarts Taxi System (Eloi Petillon) freed himself itself from genre assignments to create complex, hypnotic soundscapes with elements taken from many styles, such as dubstep, techno, electroacoustic and dnb, in search of cerebral, psychedelic and unpredictable experiences where futuristic sound design, field recording and polyrhythms combine and confront each other.

Currently resident on Rinse France and LYL radio stations, in 2019 he co-founded the De la je l'espère collective and label, and the following year the Hard Love Motor Love label, dedicated to experimental music and visual creations. In 2024 he and DalidaCarnage released the first album of their duo Malesa, mixing bass music,trip-hop and poetry in Spanish. He has also released on a number of French and international labels such as Bait, Typeless, Matière and Human Disease Network. He has performed all over Europe including Norbergfestival, RSOberlin, NDK Festival, Positive Education and Refractor festival and has just returned from touring Asia. He will do a special live-set for us at HYPERFOCUS that is not to be missed!

Saturday, Nov 1 - Alberta Balsam at HYPERFOCUS in The Grey Space in the Middle

Expect glitchy rhythms, skittering percussion, sweeping ambient dreamscapes and wild synth freak-outs from Rotterdam-based Alberta Balsam. With releases on eminent labels such as Dekmantel and Clone Records , she channels the space-age spirit of early electronica, the techy, trippy vibes of 1990s IDM, and her lifelong love of science fiction. Always searching for that sweet spot between IDM, breakbeats, bass, electro, and leftfield techno, Alberta recently launched her own label Terra Atomica.
On this special night, we celebrate its third release from none other than INDEX resident Edward J.

Cosmox (Joris Hoefnagel) is not only one of the driving forces behind The Hague’s renowned The Crave Festival and co-manager of Subterra, a unique studio complex housed in a former atomic bunker, but also a gifted producer and DJ. Known for his versatile taste, he delivers energetic and genre-spanning DJ sets that explore the many corners of electronic music. This year, Cosmox released his album Convergence on the label Dehumanize The Planet .
