"Lean on me" recently completed mural as part of the Tulip City Walls Mural Fest final edition.
The portraits depict two people leaning on each other, designed to remind the community to support each other. We all have moments of vulnerability as well as the chances to show compassion or understanding.

Sisters, teammates, friends, community — no matter how busy our lives become, we are all still part of something bigger.

This mural captures the connection between Holland, Michigan and The Netherlands by by depicting the tulips and windmill, and many smaller details more visible in person due to the scale of the wall.

Painting began midday on the Monday and completed it by Saturday.
Sincere thanks to Lori and Chris as well as the Tulip City Walls Mural Fest family and the team 3Sixty for the invitation to be part of this fantastically coordinated festival! To the families and homes that welcomed us in with open arms, you are amazing!
This hospitality and an amazing group of artists, made this a truly memorable painting and trip for all three of us at Studio Zepa. Miss you and we hope to see you soon! Thank you!

"Give & Take."

As found in a field of natural flowers, some are full of thorns and others stand tall with bright and cheerful colours.
No flower chooses the flowers that surround it.
Learning about each other means accepting that the field comes with all these different flowers.
However, through interaction, we share many aspects of ourselves, and a small gesture can go a long way to brighten someone else’s day up.

Thinking bigger, that ability to give and take is what lubricates society. It can make day to day experiences richer, or make the world seem likes its coming undone.

In this painting we want to inspire reflection on our capcacity for tolerance, patience, and mutual respect. The kind that shows in small gestures.

Have you seen "Familie" yet? 🌻

It's one of five new murals across Holendrecht, and the idea for it didn't come from us — it came from an open workshop with residents and their kids.

The two figures you see aren't specific people — a daughter and father, a sister and brother, painted close together on purpose. This community is a safe space for families, and we wanted the mural to feel like your family, whoever you are.

Look closely and you'll spot a zonnehoed between them — a Dutch flower that's traditionally a symbol of welcome and resilience. Fitting, given how warmly Holendrecht welcomed us through one of the hottest stretches of the summer — we chose to hold the same 10-hour days anyway rather than cut the schedule short.

Thank you to everyone who stopped to chat, brought us water, or just said hello. This one's for you.
