There are quite a few exciting new species on the way.

Thanks to our stable production of copepods such as Parvocalanus, we’re able to support and develop more challenging and unique species for the future.

Can you guess which species is in the picture?

We currently have a strong and consistent supply of tank-bred Synchiropus splendidus, also known as the mandarin dragonet.

Our production lines are steady and reliable, offering healthy, well-established fish that are already trained to eat pellets. This species is famous for its striking psychedelic coloration and peaceful nature, making it a true highlight in any reef aquarium.

Naturally found in the Indo-Pacific, Synchiropus splendidus typically inhabits calm lagoons and coral-rich environments where it spends its day grazing on small prey. In captivity, wild specimens are often difficult to sustain due to their specialized diet. Our tank-bred individuals adapt easily, accept prepared foods, and are far more suitable for long-term success.

A sustainable, responsible, and beautiful alternative to wild-caught fish.

Available through De Jong Marinelife – ask your local fish store to order.

Cryptocentrus cinctus in our grow-out, ready for a new home.

This hardy and fascinating watchman goby is well-known for its symbiotic relationship with pistol shrimp, sharing a burrow while keeping watch. Peaceful and full of character, it’s a great addition to reef tanks with a sandy substrate.

Our specimens are tank-raised, well-acclimated, and feeding confidently on a varied diet.

Now available: rare full-bar Amphiprion latezonatus

In 2021, we achieved the first successful breeding of this species in our facility, though early results showed a high incidence of misbarring. Through protocol refinement and optimized rearing conditions, we now consistently produce robust juveniles with complete bars.

All fish are bred and raised in controlled tropical water conditions, ensuring high health status and adaptability. As they grow, these specimens develop the characteristic blue lip, making them particularly striking in display and breeding collections alike.

Healthy, tank-bred, full-bar juveniles — available now.

We’ve fine-tuned our breeding protocols for Doryrhamphus bicarnitus and are now producing them in high numbers. This means we’ll soon be able to switch entirely to tank-bred offerings instead of wild-caught.

This shift helps protect wild populations while providing aquarists with healthier animals. Our tank-bred juveniles are stronger, fully adapted to captive conditions, and readily eat frozen foods.

It’s a privilege to watch these cuties every day and to witness their amazing transformation — from delicate larvae, through metamorphosis into juveniles with vertical stripes, and finally into their striking horizontal pattern.

At the same time, we are also producing stable numbers of Dunckerocampus pessuliferus — available from next week!
