Today was the last rehearsal before our 2 concerts on Sunday, time to tell you the story of the central piece of the recital: this beautiful Bechstein grand piano with a rich history: it actually belonged to the first woman to ever graduate as a pianist from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague!

Matthison about his poem Adelaide, set into music by Beethoven in 1796:
“Many composers gave with their music a soul to my little fantaisie lyrique ; but my most intimate belief is that none outshined the words with his melody more than the brilliant Ludwig van Beethoven from Vienna ''.
Ludwig’s composition was such a success that in a few years after its release, no less than 52 transcriptions of the piece were published!!!
