I think this is my best portrait I ever made. I’m actually a little proud of myself.
The picture of the horse was my example. It’s not an actual portrait for someone. So that’s why I added a forelock. I really struggle with hair, as you can see in the time-lapse 🫣

My hyper fixation is currently on horses, lol. I love drawing them and learning their anatomy.
Hope you like this one ☺️

The progress on this horse so far 😄 5 hours in so far and over 5000 strokes. I’m very happy with how he looks. I think the body is pretty much done. So the next thing to focus on is the forelock and mane. That will be a challenge I think, but can’t wait to get started.

Happy holidays 🎄❤️

Currently working on this horse 😊 So far I’m pretty happy with how it’s going.

I must say that I’ve been really struggling lately. When I look back at my art, I think all of it is crap and I don’t see any improvement. I still don’t have a style I like and that I want to stick with. My art seems flat and dead… Ugh… so I’ve been watching videos about how to improve your art and about different techniques. It seems to help. I do know that I want to focus on animals in a semi-realistic style. That always has been what I wanted. Just need to find a style and the techniques that fit me. But it feels that after years of trying I still haven’t found it and I’m lost.
