I realised that I never posted this one here (?)

From the book A Woman on the Moon

The self-published book springs from my experience as an expat, which came to be exceedingly tough amidst the 2020 lockdowns. The sense of alienation stemming from isolation and distance from my ailing father creates an alter ego within me—a woman stranded on an empty asteroid, endeavouring to find her way home. Through these adversities, she discovers new reservoirs of strength within herself, symbolised by the dark water source.

The moon becomes a liminal space where this shadowy figure of a woman searches for meaning.

The illustrations in the book were created using a combination of techniques, including collage, transfer, and china ink.

I wanted to include a poem here, but I couldn't find the right one; would you help me?

This entire series of leaves and paper collages would go very well with some poetry, I think, but I am not good at writing verse. So if you do, and are inspired by it, show yourself! :) 🙏

A few weeks ago, while running in the park nearby, I kept noticing all the different shapes and colours of the leaves around me. Autumn coloured them with beautiful gradients, and I had to stop and collect some.
From there, this small experiment in the bottom pin machine.

A pair of photos from last Saturday’s Exiting Chaos performance in Rotterdam that the sweet Jan Overduin took🙏

When about two years ago Panos Gklistis approached me with what became our first project together ( A Piano in my Sketchbook), I was terrified of drawing live ( and being on stage!). Now I am very proud and grateful for this opportunity. Still, my hand trembles each time we begin the performance, but it's also an amazing feeling and I can believe I am part of something so magical and powerful!

I am also very happy that, finally, Theatre is back into my life ( my first Bachelor's is in fact in Set Design for Opera).

I don't know if you had, as a kid, the fantasy that inside the TV or the Radio there were little people who were doing the show, but that is a little bit how I feel now when I perform: part of a magical secret, the maker of a spell✨

I hope we can bring this little gem more around soon, many thanks to .kondy who not only has an enchanting voice, but also a magnetic presence and never made a mistake(!!). Thanks to Panos Gklistis who had the idea, composed mesmerising music and gave me complete creative freedom, thank you to Barbara Duijfjes whose experience and energy made our separate roles a creature of its own.

Thank you to Maaike of .nino for the energy and all the support; and also thanks to AFK ( Amsterdam Fonds Voor De Kunst).
