We are very proud to present our new logo! We hope you like it as much as we do. :-)
To create it, we asked Max Kisma of Kismanstudio to design a future-proof identity for Dutch Modular Fest.
Max Kisman is a pioneering graphic designer who helped shape the early days of digital design. In the 1980s, he was among the first designers to embrace the computer not just as a tool, but as a creative medium in its own right. Through groundbreaking work for clients such as VPRO, Paradiso, and Wired, he left a lasting mark on graphic design and visual culture.
Kisman combines image and text in a unique and distinctive way. His work is defined by powerful simplicity and clarity, reducing content and meaning to their most essential form. For Kisman, language carries imagination, while imagery invites experimentation. The result is a visual language that is both direct and thought-provoking.
More recently, Kisman gained international recognition with the iconic Peace Now logo — a simple yet powerful image that evolved into a global symbol of peace and solidarity, demonstrating the enduring impact of thoughtful design. I strongly advise you to take a look at his website — Max creates incredible work.
Over the coming months, you'll see our new logo more and more as we gradually roll it out across all our channels.
