AAA Gallery

The AAA Gallery grew out being the cult-livingroom of Rotterdam. The majority of the paintings displa Their three art-ego's became a new one; 'AAA'.

WE ARE AAA

Hans Kleinjan (1958), Maikel Kleinjan (1984) and Roderik Faasen (1990)
started to paint together in the year 2009 in Rotterdam, Holland. Through the last ten years Hans, Maikel and Roderik developed a new handwriting. After having multiple exhibitions around Europe, they started their own gallery concept, called AAAFRESH123 (AAA Gallery). The majority of the paintings displayed in the

gallery are threesome-collaborations. This gallery, located in Rotterdam, is unique in its kind, as it does not only display art but also gives visitors a taste of the creative process. By walking though a hole in the wall you will enter the atelier. Have a look in the virtual tour. Additionally, they were also involved in various artistic-activities ranging from live-painting at events like 'North Sea Jazz 2013', the 'Grand-Prix Monza 2014' and the 'MTV EMA Awards 2016'. MANIACISM
As an answer to ‘nihilism’, ‘cynicism’ and the unconsciousness the artist-trio of AAA developed a new art-movement, popularly known as 'maniacism'. It does not only describes the art itself as it is a lifestyle. Mania: An excessively intense enthusiasm, interest and desire for
something. The AAA Gallery grew out being the cult-livingroom of Rotterdam / The Netherlands after ten years of 'live-painting', exhibitions and shows. As Rotterdam grew up as one of the world cities, AAA grew together with it.

STUDIO NOTES 🧨 A few practical notes for the opening weekend.

Expect good wine by Vin Vin, gin & tonics by Bobby’s, food from Van Linschoten, jazz early in the evening, house records later on, and of course paintings, drawings & fine art prints throughout the studio.

On May 29 and 30, the doors of the studio officially open for the exhibition Signature Series: A curated overview of our evolving bodies of work. 
Two days in which the Zaagmolenkade reveals where AAAFRESH123 stands today and where it all began. Expect a collection of paintings and drawings spanning many years, including works that have rarely been shown publicly before. This painting will be one of them.

OPENING EXHIBITION: Op 29 en 30 mei gaan de deuren van de studio officieel open voor de opening van de expositie Signature Series: A curated overview of our evolving bodies of work. (for English see below)
 Twee dagen waarin de Zaagmolenkade 123 laat zien waar AAAFRESH123 vandaag staat en waar het ooit begon.

Van het atelier in Delfshaven tot aan ‘De Stud’, waar het gezamenlijke én individuele handschrift van het drietal zich ferm heeft ontplooid. Achttien jaar samenwerking heeft geresulteerd in een scala aan terugkerende beelden, waaruit herkenbare series ontstonden. De strijdlust en maniakale drang om een eigen beeldtaal te blijven ontwikkelen.

Tijdens de expositie tonen we werk uit series als Urban Chaos, Guns & Roses en Cityman. Werelden die langs elkaar schuren, elkaar versterken en soms volledig ontsporen, zoals het bestaan dat doet wanneer dag en nacht in elkaar overlopen.

Verwacht een collectie schilderijen en tekeningen van door de jaren heen, waaronder werk dat zelden eerder publiekelijk getoond is.

Vanuit waar wij kwasten, gaat nu de deur open. Als je niet komt, ben je er geweest.
