Had a lot of fun painting these cabochons. I have a couple ideas of what I want to make with them. In this pile, I experimented with a couple different mediums. Acrylic paint, armypainter air brush paint, liquid clay, mica powders, posca pens, hollow flakes, glow in the dark powder, and acrylic varnish. I still want to do some experimenting with different materials and combinations. But for now let's first use these.

Meet Bruce. He is a Spikey Eye plant. He lives hidden under bushes in a big magical forest.

His armature is made from plaster of paris. It is covert with super sculpey living doll. The spikes are made from translucent scupley premo. The base is made with aluminum foil covert with super scupley living doll to. The eyes are glass cabochons, acrilic paint for the pupil and glow in the dark cos clay behind them. I painted him with army painter air brush paints and alcohol inks.
