18-06-2026 • Past days I have been reclaiming my routines after the travels. Alarm goes at 4:44, the garden gets attention from 5 till 6 (watering seed-starts, snipping snails, pulling the occasional weeds and any other urgent tasks) I harvest my breakfast-berries, pack my prepped meals and am off to my atelier for an early undisturbed morning. I am finally etching a bunch of works that have been ripening for the past two months. In between etching cycles I play the congas. My problem-solving considering technicalities in unfolding my vision is fresher than ever and very trustful of the way - I maintain a steady but calm pace that feels effective and joyous. My flow is playful and the works are turning out quite great.

Blessed by the kind Troy of I sit in front of me, finally, with a physical book again. And not just any, it is this fu***ng gorgeous love-song to the universe by Ernesto Cardenal. I did not know the man but the book immediately spoke to me. The silent universal truths have been picked up by sensitive souls at any time at any place on planet earth, and god, words like these, with my lover on a table, sunkissed, caffeinated, heal my heart like the hammering on my anvil does. What a good time to be alive.

In love with these objects for mundane usage in Guatamala. Just so sculptural. I can really feel into the women hands moving these stones in a continuous rhythm, as I know it from hammer and anvil. I know how much can be found in such utter simplicity so I deeply respect these ordinary round and square shapes, they grew whole civilizations big and strong.
