Tomorrow it’s time for another Local Rhythms, Global Echoes, radio show at . This time featuring Jesse Kuipers. Jesse Kuipers, a DJ, event organizer, and night programmer at Hedon Zwolle, has been passionate about electronic music from a young age. With 13 years of experience in the music industry, he has built a solid foundation.

As the founder of Overstag, he focuses on innovative genres, always staying ahead of trends. He is also involved in Vogelpop, curating diverse line-ups spanning indie, punk, hip-hop, and electronic music. Through his artist agency, Jesse supports emerging DJs and artists, aiming to connect people through unexpected sounds.

We are thrilled to announce our second guest, Pien Vershiere, joining us on our bi-monthly radio show, “Local Rhythms, Global Echoes,” on Open Source Radio.

You may know Pien for her fast-paced grooves and funky rhythms, but she also wields significant influence in the eastern part of the Netherlands as one of the driving forces behind De Ontgroening.

The guest for our first show at OSR requires little introduction as we welcome Bas Amro, founder and/or booker of Basic Grooves, Onder De Radar, De Reactie, and Thuishaven. Outside of these big ventures he gives back to Enschede’s underground with his party series Sugarspoon and is largely recognised for awarding local talents opportunities for bigger audiences. In our search for contributing to such a platform we could have imagined no guest that would be better suitable than Bas.

After safely recovering it's time to look back on a miraculously sunny Saturday in Enschede at . Next to many amazing artist our residents killed it this weekend, playing a home match between the cozy trees. It gives us warm feelings to see a community come together, dance and flourish on such a day! 🫂
