Hey guys!

You'll be pleased to hear that Eleanor Green Office has agreed to collaborate with us for the Trash to Treasure event on Sunday 9th of October at 14:00.

The event consists in going on a hunt for trash in Middelburg to find anything that you could use for your works of art.
After the hunt, we will provide some glue so you can turn your trash into a Treasure.

In the next few days, we will be posting some inspiration/ideas for your own art-works on our Instagram stories

Hey guys!

Are you interested in submitting art for our annual RAW journal?
If you are, this is your time to shine 😎

What we accept as submissions:

LITERARY SUBMISSIONS
Poetry, short stories, drama, life & travel writing, novel excerpts, literary essays, graphic stories.
- 1.5 spacing
- Include page numbers and title
- MS Word
- For anything other than graphic stories, poetry, and drama, include a word count

ART SUBMISSIONS
Paintings, drawings & illustrations, photography, digital art, mixed media, 3D design, fashion/costume & textile, film stills & screenshots.
- Please send clear pictures of your artwork (if the work is in 3D, please send photographs of your work from multiple angles)
- Include title of your piece(s)
- Indicate type of media
- Preferred file type: JPEG (.jpg)

MUSIC SUBMISSIONS
Tablature, staff notation.
- Both handwritten & digital formats are accepted (providing the handwritten form is legible)
- It is strongly preferred that you submit a recording (either as a file or an online link) of the piece(s) along with your submission. If this is not possible by the submission deadline, the composer will most likely be asked to perform the music themselves or find someone else to perform the piece for the Editorial Board to evaluate during the selection week. In the case that the piece(s) is/are selected for publication, the composer will be required to supply the Editorial Board with a recording of the piece(s). The music pieces will be uploaded to RAW YouTube and will be linked by a QR code in the journal.

Hi everyone!

The most awaited event of the semester, ALCOHOLIC ARTISTS is back this Friday (23rd), 8pm, in the Mensa.
You will be able to order a wonderful That-Time-of-the-Semester cocktail and we will provide artistic supplies.

The theme? Draw your Drink. But you’ll have to show up if you want more details 😉

So if you’re interested in getting a little tipsy while expressing your creativity, you should definitely join us for our first official event of the semester.

Run For RAW!!

Are you interested in art and writing? This might be the board for you! RAW hosts fun events such as Alcoholic Artists and a Bob Ross follow along. Once per semester, RAW collects students' artworks and prints them in a journal.

We are looking for:
Chair
Secretary
Treasurer
Designer
Event Manager (2x)

Come join us on Thursday, March 3rd in E8 and amaze everyone with your mastery of the 2 main things out there: alcohol and art!
Painting supplies are provided for you, but don't forget to bring your own booze!!

SUBMIT TO THE RAW JOURNAL!

We are open for submissions again! Send your art; poem, painting, photograph, embroidery, short story, drawing, song, anything to [email protected] before Sunday the 20th of March!

In case you are not feeling as creative, but still want to contribute to UCR's art journal, we are also looking for editors! As editor for RAW, you will provide feedback on a selection of the submitted art and decide together which artworks will make it into the final journal. If you are interested send us an email to [email protected]

Ready for some creative challenges? Gather your teammates (2-4 per team) and sign up for Gamesco and RAW's night of art challenges!

The event will take place on Thursday, February 17th in Elliott, and starts at 19.30. You will be then be introduced to our artsy minigames/challenges, which will then later be rated by everyone. The winners will receive an Elliott-related prize.
