Start building! Transport Artspace presents Soapbox Gallery Race
– Open Call, free for everyone!

Ter land ter zee en van de krul. Bring your artwork on wheels to ‘de Krul’ on 7-6 at 15:00 and join the race. Artworks should roll by themselves and not carry humans.

The idea is simple. We will all join on top of the Krul. The Krul is a part the old Noorderbrug that has been left standing as a memento and lookout post in the new area, looking straight into the eyes of a possible Transport art-bird.

On arrival everyone can register, races will be of +- 6 artworks per race. Artworks are pushed downhill, and the work that gets furthest first wins. Winner goes to next round. No rules, more fun.
It’s all downhill from here!

*note: be aware your work on wheels could get damaged in the race

31st of May-Save the date !!!

Maastricht’s affordable culture is under threat. Social and cultural collectives struggle to find and maintain affordable spaces. Meanwhile, the cultural freezones Landbouwbelang and The B face eviction. The Gemeente called the exterminators on what they think is a cultural infestation, but Maastricht has always been crawling with creativity and community in every corner. Let’s make sure it stays that way.
Some collectives face eviction, others can’t find a place to grow — but together, we’ll swarm the streets to protect our ecosystem. We demand affordable spaces to carry on with promoting a accessible and inclusive alternative culture.

Join us on May 31st for a protest parade that’s also a celebration of resistance, community, and creativity. Subculture is our ecosystem, and we won’t let it die.

De oude Opelgarage aan de Griend wordt een centrale plek voor kunst, cultuur en ontmoeting 🎨⛏✂️en een atelier voor creatieve makers.

Onder dit project zetten we samen💪 met Woningstichting Servatius, het Werkgebouw, de Vrijhaven, Foodbank Maastricht en Transport Art Space onze schouders.

De planning is om in april 2024 de plek te kunnen openen 🎊.
