My friend was working on this quilt top when posted her quilting on that same quilt on Insta earlier this year.

That quilting looked so cool that I asked Sanne if I could quilt her Wolf on the Big Q. It's a great project for me to practice ruler work and free motion quilting.

Thank you for sharing your work and being such an inspiration Iva!

The Wolf is a FPP pattern by .

After making a quilt with a minky backing for Ella, it was time to also make such a soft quilt for Jules.

He picked a red panda quilt pattern by . I changed the pattern a little bit to make it larger, and added a stripey border around the quilt.

Quilting on minky with the Q-Matic wasn't all as scary as I thought it would be! The only thing was that it took a little longer to get it nicely loaded to the longarm frame.

The paws turned out so fun on the soft backing. This pattern is called Passing Paws by .longarm.quilting

𝟭𝟬 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 ... .. while working with the Q-Matic on my Bernina long arm over the last two years.

(One of which is that my fav foot by far is the Gliding Cup Foot #74)

It's been two years since the Big Q moved into my studio. A longarm with an automated quilting system. A dream come true! As a former engineer and programmer this is such awesome machinery!

On the WeAllSew blog I got to write about my projects on the Q-Matic over the last two years. I'm rounding off with the 10 things I learned.

Read all about it through the link in the Q-Matic highlight .

Advent has begun!

I'm so excited for this year's project 😍

Did you know that besides an add-a-quarter ruler, there's also an add-an-eighth ruler? It's perfect for those tiny pieces in an FPP pattern ✂️

Enjoy unwrapping the first gifts! Tomorrow we’ll start sewing the first sections, can’t wait!
