Als kunstenaar wil ik de kijker momenten van licht, van luchtigheid, van adem te bezorgen. In mijn werk hebben kleur en fantasie dan ook een belangrijke rol. De schoonheid van snippers papier, van vlekken, van toevallige lijnen intrigeert mij steeds weer. Ik voel me uitgedaagd om hun schoonheid te versterken, te laten spreken, hun verhaal te laten vertellen. Ik houd van alle materialen: van de du

urste verven tot de goedkoopste potloden, van het mooiste handgeschepte papier tot het oudste vergeelde boodschappenbriefje. Mijn werk bestaat dan ook meestal uit een mix van materialen en media.

Who wants another coffee?' is what my mom used to say when the situation in the room became a little tense. Sometimes it actually helped to lighten up the atmosphere.... (mostly not). Anyway you can try this if you feel sad, tense, disappointed or angry because, for instance, your favorite soccer team lost ..... Next chance in four years....·

Hello everybody, have a great 2024!
I'm back after a couple of weeks not posting on the internet. I loved it, but I'm also happy to get back to making and showing more art.
Today I have this image for you. It is an abstract one, because none of us knows what the new year will bring. But I sure hope it will be sweet (pink!) and colorful for all of us!
I am certain that art can help there. Both looking at art and making it. At least it always helps me to put things in perspective, lighten me up, give me hope and courage to go on.
So, here to ART!

Today I am trying to make a planning for 2024, at least for the first half of the year. Like always I seem to want way too much. I would certainly need six arms and a couple of little helpers to accomplish all this. Oh, and by the way: high on my planning is included: RELAX, JUST HANGING AROUND.
Hahaha, I'm sure this planning is not really going to work!

Today we're voting for a new parliament here in the the Netherlands. Like in a lot of places in the world, right wing parties seem to get stronger. Even the more extremist sides. Voting should be about celebrating democracy.
Let's see if we can turn the beast here under into a real party animal.
