Quintera continues to impress in the early processing segment.

After four years of cultivation experience near Kevelaer, Germany, Quintera has shown an excellent combination of earliness, high yields and consistent processing quality.

Working together with grower Andreas Denissen and Farm Frites, we see strong results on light sandy soils with irrigation. Quintera performs well under heat and drought stress, delivers stable frying quality and can achieve yields of up to 80 tonnes per hectare.

A variety that offers confidence from field to factory.

On July 16, we officially launched our partnership with Empatec. During the opening of De Groeituin in Wier, the first potato plantlets were placed in the renovated greenhouse 🌱. This means the greenhouse is now being used for the cultivation of minitubers, an important step in the development and multiplication of potato varieties.

This collaboration brings together innovation in potato breeding and talent development. While we work on the potato varieties of tomorrow, De Groeituin provides an environment where people can gain work experience and further develop their skills.

We look forward to a successful partnership and everything that will grow here in the years ahead.

Blooming season has arrived.

Across the fields, potato plants are once again blooming in shades of white and purple. A beautiful sight, but these flowers are much more than a seasonal highlight.

Potato plants flower as part of their natural reproductive cycle. After flowering, small green berries can develop, containing the true potato seeds. While table and seed potatoes are grown from tubers, flowers and seeds play a crucial role in breeding and innovation.

Every flower represents new potential. From selecting valuable traits to developing the potato varieties of tomorrow, innovation often starts with a bloom.🌸

More than 200 potato growers joined our field day in El Oued, Algeria, together with our partner Sarl Rehel.

Set against the remarkable desert landscape of El Oued, growers had the opportunity to see five HZPC varieties in the field. This location was deliberately chosen to demonstrate the performance and potential of these varieties under challenging growing conditions.

Sababa impressed many growers with its strong performance, Rashida once again demonstrated its reliability, and Memphis showed promising potential for the coming seasons. Bartina and Fabula continue to deliver the consistent results growers value.

Thanks to everyone who attended and to Sarl Rehel for making this successful day possible.
