💿 ALBUM REVIEW 💿
"Navigating the Madness", Fugazi 's 2026 album, is a short but sweet blues/rock assault on the senses.
Running at just under 40 minutes long and featuring 12 tracks, the album is raw and high-energy without a wasted moment.
🎧 A Fresh Roots Blues Approach with Live Energy and Highlight Tracks 🎧
The album begins with a classic blues melodic track, "Early morning cigar box blues" to set you right in the mood.
Fugazi takes traditional roots blues and gives it a rebellious, modern twist. "Meshugganah Lady" and "Feloncholy" demonstrate this wonderfully with eccentric storytelling.
One of the absolute best tracks on the album has to be "No I Ain't (Live at Jimmys Jukjoint)". This track brings a wonderful amount of live, edited-free energy to the album right in the middle of the tracklist, further demonstrating that Fugazi's music is meant to be played loud.
Other tracks like "Rebel Song" and "Anthem" bring a larger, anthem-like sound to the album to balance it out.
The album gets wonderfully experimental in the back half of the tracklist, with track titles like "AYE-ASK-HER" and "Transblunder," before ending out on the more sad and reflective tracks "Dry January" and "So Long".
"Navigating the Madness" is a great, quick, and thoroughly enjoyable blues-rock album.
An excellent record for any fan of cigar box guitar, gritty vocals and modern garage-blues!
