WE HAVE A WINNER!!! The inimitable, incredible and apparently also invincible Socks_die_ene_band won the Battle Of The Bands and took home that cheque for €4.000!!!!
More photos soon, with of course also the brilliant Fleebag who won €500 for 3rd place, and the epic No Leads who were the runner’s up and won €1.000!
Thank you all, it was amazing…

Counting down the days!!!

So what happened with the Wildcard? No Leads are what happened! The judges went back and forth for the longest time, debating over which of the other 14 bands deserved this fast track pass to the final, but after No Leads blew everyone away last night, it was clear: they earned it! The heat is on for June 13th, let’s goooo!!!

That’s right! Søcks won last night’s battle and have made it to the final!!! They played there hearts out for an absolutely packed Wolfhound Underground, brought even more new material and left us dying to see what they’ll bring to the final on June 13th. See you there!

The first semi-final made for a packed house, and rightfully so, because both bands gave amazing performances! Fleebag’s indie rock went from catchy tunes that got everyone on their feet, to beautiful, vulnerable moments, and the Albert Mooneys made sure we ended this evening with a bang, as they had everyone singing and clapping along to their infectious mix of punk, folk and bluegrass.
It’s no wonder the votes were so tight, but in the end Fleebag won and are the first ones to earn a spot in the final!

We have our first finalists: Fleebag!!!
Massive congratulations to them, that was truly a brilliant gig.
Who will they face on June 13th? We’ll find out in two weeks!

And just like that, it’s time for the semi-finals! First up are Fleebag and Albert Mooneys, two weeks later No Leads will be taking on Socks_die_ene_band. Who do you think deserves a place in the final for a shot at that 4K? And who will be the Wild Card?
