Hét studentenpopkoor van Groningen! ⭐🎶 Elke donderdagavond repeteren ze op de zangzolder van Usva (Munnekeholm 10).

Popkoor Estrellas is hét studentenpopkoor van Groningen en bestaat uit 24 studenten verdeeld over drie stemgroepen (alten, mezzo’s en sopranen). Onder leiding van dirigent Wilfred Reneman en pianiste Mariateresa Gallicchio zingen ze bekende en minder bekende popnummers uit het heden en het verleden van de muziekgeschiedenis in driestemmige samenstelling. Popkoor Estrellas staat niet alleen voor mu

zikaliteit, maar ook voor gezelligheid en inclusiviteit. In het koor mag iedereen zijn wie die wil zijn en dat wordt ook regelmatig uitgedragen in hun repertoire. Ze zingen over dingen die hun generatie aangaan, zoals sociaal onrecht, klimaatverandering, zelfvertrouwen, identiteit en opgroeien in het digitale tijdperk. Popkoor Estrellas is the student pop choir in Groningen and consists of 24 students divided into three voice groups (altos, mezzos and sopranos). Every Thursday evening they rehearse at Usva (Munnekeholm 10). Under the direction of conductor Wilfred Reneman and pianist Mariateresa Gallicchio, they sing well-known and lesser-known pop songs from the past and present of music history in three-part composition. Popkoor Estrellas not only stands for musicality, but also for fun and inclusivity. Everyone in the choir is allowed to be whoever they want to be and this is regularly propagated in their repertoire. They sing about things that affect their generation, such as social injustice, climate change, self-confidence, identity and growing up in the digital age.
