In the AANWAS series, Galerie Noord annually presents work by recently graduated artists from Minerva Art Academy and the Frank Mohr Institute. This edition, Commedia alla Maschera, revolves around masks, characters, mimicry and imagination. Through painting, symbols, bodies and storytelling, the artists explore how identity is performed and how the boundary between self and other can begin to blur.

The Collager IV brings together eight collage artists from the Netherlands and abroad. Peter Boersma selected artists who deconstruct and rearrange existing imagery. The variety of techniques shows how vibrant collage is as a medium. All works are made by hand. The fourth edition of the eponymous magazine is published alongside the exhibition, where the artists’ works form new connections.
