ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag) is the Music Conference and Showcase Festival (15-18 January 2025 in Groningen, The Netherlands)

ESNS is Europe's main conference and showcase festival, focusing on European music. The exchange of European music in is one of the main goals of ESNS. With 4000 delegates, showcases by 350 artists and a conference with 150 panels, keynote speakers, interviews and meetings, Eurosonic Noorderslag is the key exchange and networking platform for European music, European artists, international music industry professionals and organisations. The conference includes industry meetings of our long-term partners; the European Broadcasting Union (EBU). Yourope, Network Europe, the European Export office(s) and our own ESNS Exchange, the European Talent Exchange Programme (ETEP).

ESNS27 is getting closer, and with it the vibrant conference programme we're cooking up. To give you a taste of the programme and of the diverse topics that will be discussed, we're asking speakers to give us the scoop on their expertise and the panels they'll be part of. Today we're talking to Bindu De Knock, Amsterdam based attorney-at-law specialising in music, entertainment and intellectual property law. At ESNS27 she will be part of two panels: 'Top 10 Legal Issues You Need To Know About in 2027' (EN) and 'AI is here to stay, dus we moeten er wat mee...' (NL). Let’s imagine we’re already at the ESNS27 conference, shall we? In this new series, we present you with a hot topic that will be discussed at the conference. Imagine you’re in the room, the conversation is heating up, and you have to make up your mind: do you agree or disagree with the statement?

Today’s discussion point is talent vs. access in the club circuit: how can we nurture the next generation of club programmers, if even entry level jobs ask for years of experience? Does everyone get a fair chance? If you feel strongly about this, you might enjoy the panel ‘Hete hangijzers in het clubcircuit: programmeurs gezocht!’, specifically addressing the Dutch music landscape.

Ready for a good craic at ESNS27? With this announcement we’re bringing the number of Irish artists to 21, in honour and celebration of Ireland’s investment in their artists and the buzzing scene emerging there.

For this festive occasion ESNS teams up with Ireland’s national broadcaster RTÉ to present four of the best emerging acts from the Irish scene in Grand Theatre on Wednesday evening. and will host the evening, while and .band take the stage.
