MEET THE TEAM - THE FINALE
My name is Yannick, 37 years old, born and raised in the province of Drenthe. These days I call the crazy city of Groningen my home — a place that keeps my eyes and mind constantly fed with colours, textures, and unexpected references.
Art has been a thread running through my life for as long as I can remember. One of my grandmothers created extraordinarily beautiful watercolour paintings, while the other was always shaping the world with her hands through ceramics. Growing up between those two creative sweethearts made it almost impossible not to fall in love with making things myself. As a kid I was always painting, crafting, experimenting.
I tried following a more conventional path for a while — studying film, partying a bit (way) too hard, losing my direction here and there(everywhere) — but eventually my compass pointed me back to where I belong: arts, and specifically; tattoos.
I pour love, curiosity, and a sense of play into everything I do. Tattoos aren’t just a job for me; they’re a living language of shapes, stories, and skin. I’ve been tattooing for almost a decade now, and experimenting with drawing and painting techniques since childhood.
My inspiration comes from everywhere: the patterns of old ceramics,1920s camembert wrappers; the poetry of everyday objects.
I look at the world around me and search for a new kind of traditional harmony — something born from colour research, simple shapes, and the beauty hidden in the details.
