Echt heel erg modieus..

Dat is wat dit volgens de dame op de achtergrond is. Ze vindt mooie kleding heel belangrijk en wil er elke dat dag pico bello uitzien. en de mannequins staan daar symbool voor. De kleding moet echt goed bij elkaar passen. En niet alleen de kleding ook de schoenen zijn een belangrijk deel van haar outfit. De polka-dots hier staan voor het feit dat ze zelf bepaald wat de mode gaat worden en wat modieus is, ze laat zich door de wereld geen modebeeld aanpraten. Dat wil zeggen dat ze er altijd bijzonder uitziet. Het gevolg is natuurlijk dat ze elke morgen een behoorlijk lange tijd voor haar kledingkast staat om te bepalen wat ze die dag gaat dragen. Het liefst nog had ze haar eigen kleding ontworpen. Zelf haar kleding tekenen is haar grootste droom. Of haar dat ooit gaat lukken is de vraag, maar tot die tijd ziet ze er vooral altijd op en top uit. (PScompo)

Really really fashionable..

That is what this is according to the lady in the background. She considers beautiful clothing very important and wants to look impeccable every single day and the mannequins symbolize that. The clothes really have to match well. And not only the clothing, the shoes are also an important part of her outfit. The polka dots here represent the fact that she determines for herself what the fashion will be and what is fashionable; she does not let the world dictate her fashion trends. This means that she always looks distinctive. The consequence, of course, is that every morning she stands in front of her wardrobe for quite a long time to decide what she is going to wear that day. She would have preferred to design her own clothes. Drawing her own clothes is her biggest dream. Whether she will ever succeed in that is the question, but until then, she certainly always looks top-notch. (PScompo)

Zij en de vis samen verdwaald..

Zij is de dame in deze grote zee. Deze tropische zee is een wereld van vissen, koralen, zeesterren en natuurlijk de zeemeermin. De zee is, zoals bekend oneindig groot en heeft vele onderzeese grotten. In één van deze grotten heeft de zeemeermin gewoond. De vis was haar buurman. Het ging jaren goed, elke keer als ze een rondje gingen zwemmen, kwamen ze gewoon weer terug. Deze keer echter lukte het niet en zijn ze, samen, verdwaald. En ondanks dat ze vele zeebewoners naar de weg terug hebben gevraagd is het niet gelukt om de weg terug naar huis te vinden. Ook de zeesterren hebben geen antwoord op de vraag waar ze zijn, want die zijn gewoon thuis. Zij hoeven nergens heen en gaan ook nergens heen. De zeemeermin en de vis zetten hun zoektocht voor, naar huis. (PScompo)

She and the fish lost together..

She is the lady in this vast sea. This tropical sea is a world of fish, corals, starfish, and, of course, the mermaid. The sea is, as is well known, infinitely vast and has many underwater caves. The mermaid lived in one of these caves. The fish was her neighbour. Things went well for years; every time they went for a swim, they simply returned. This time, however, it didn't work out, and they are lost together. And despite asking many sea creatures for directions, they have not managed to find their way back home. The starfish also have no answer to the question of where they are, because they are simply at home. They don't need to go anywhere, and they aren't going anywhere. The mermaid and the fish continue their search, for home. (PScompo)

Mevrouw Magnolia Grandiflora en haar bloemen hoed..

Ja zo heet ze echt, met voornaam Magnolia en haar achternaam is Grandiflora. Een welklinkende naam die ook echt een verhaal verteld. Magnolia heeft gestudeerd aan de kunstacademie. Zo lang als ze zich kan herinneren wil ze al naar de school en nu is dat gelukt. Gekker nog ze heeft examen gedaan en is geslaagd. Haar eerste opdracht is het maken van een hoed. Ze gaat aan haar bureau zitten en pakt een schetsboek en een potlood. Ze tekent eerst een model, een simpele tekening van een hoofd. Dan begint ze te schetsen, met een tulp, een roos, maar ze vindt het allemaal maar niks. Dan komt ze met een lumineus idee, het moet een Magnolia Grandiflora worden. Een hoed in de vorm van de grote bloem van een Magnolia Grandiflora. Na een paar schetsen en een paar keer opnieuw beginnen staat er iets moois op papier. Een elegante hoed in de vorm van de reusachtige Magnolia. Ter illustratie voegt ze een paar vlinders toe. Een volgend idee ontstaat haast als vanzelf haar designer naam zal zijn Magnolia Grandiflora. De hoed viel goed in de smaak bij de klant en dus heeft ze haar plannen doorgezet. (PScompo)

Yes, that is really her name: Magnolia as her first name and Grandiflora as her last name. A melodious name that truly tells a story. Magnolia studied at the art academy. She has wanted to go to the school for as long as she can remember, and now she has succeeded. Even crazier, she took her exams and passed. Her first assignment is to make a hat. She sits down at her desk and picks up a sketchbook and a pencil. She first draws a model, a simple drawing of a head. Then she starts sketching, with a tulip, a rose, but she doesn't like any of it. Then she comes up with a brilliant idea: it has to be a Magnolia Grandiflora. A hat in the shape of the large flower of a Magnolia Grandiflora. After a few sketches and starting over a few times, something beautiful appears on paper. An elegant hat in the shape of the giant Magnolia. To illustrate, she adds a few butterflies. A next idea arises almost naturally: her designer name will be Magnolia Grandiflora. The hat was well received by the client, so she proceeded with her plans. (PScompo)

Op weg naar de grote Magnolia..

Dit grote insect, een tor, is op weg naar de grote Magnolia. Eigenlijk is hij er bijna. Deze Magnolia is een hele speciale en wel de Magnolia Grandiflora een echte reus dus. Maar dat wil zeggen dat de tor ook buitenproportioneel is. En dat is ook zo, dit is een surreële tor. Hij is op zoek naar, misschien wel iets lekkers, wie weet. De Magnolia ligt dus op z'n weg en het is het eerstvolgende wat hij tegen gaat komen. Normaal gesproken zou hij aan die éne Magnolia genoeg moet hebben, want zo groot is ie wel. In dit geval loopt ie misschien toch wel over die Magnolia heen naar de grote klok. Die klok heeft zijn interesse gevangen, wat natuurlijk past bij zijn surreële uiterlijk. Het is alleen te hopen dat de tijd een echte vriend voor hem is. (PScompo)

On its way to the big Magnolia..

This large insect, a beetle, is on its way to the large Magnolia. Actually, it is almost there. This Magnolia is a very special one, namely the Magnolia Grandiflora—a true giant, in other words. But that implies that the beetle is also out of proportion. And that is indeed the case; this is a surreal beetle. He is looking for, perhaps, something tasty, who knows. The Magnolia lies in his path, and it is the very next thing he is going to encounter. Normally, that one Magnolia should be enough for him, because it is that big. In this case, however, he might just walk right over that Magnolia to the large clock. That clock has captured his interest, which naturally suits his surreal appearance. One can only hope that time is a true friend to him. (PScompo)

Niet praten alstublieft alleen kijken..

Niet praten alstublieft enkel kijken en genieten van onze wonderschone natuur. Die natuur die overal om ons heen is zelf het kleine eigen stukje tuin hoort bij die wonderschone natuur. De natuur op een vierkante meter is net zo goed een stukje natuur. Maar ook onze bossen, de heide gebieden, maar ook langs de kust vinden we prachtige natuurgebieden. Daar genieten we veel te weinig van en we praten er teveel over. Vooral de eindeloze discussies over dingen die we niet weten en we eigenlijk ook niet kunnen voorspellen. Als we vooral genieten van onze natuur dan waarderen we die mooie soms kleine plekjes veel meer. Deze dames laten alleen een oog zien, de mond is afgedekt met een reden dus. (PScompo)

Please do not talk, just look and enjoy our wondrous nature. That nature that is all around us; even our own small piece of garden is part of that wondrous nature. Nature within a square meter is just as much a piece of nature. But we also find beautiful nature reserves in our forests, the heathlands, and along the coast. We enjoy them far too little and talk about them too much. Especially the endless discussions about things we do not know and actually cannot predict. If we primarily enjoy our nature, we will appreciate those beautiful, sometimes small, spots much more. These ladies show only an eye; the mouth is covered for a reason, therefore. (PScompo)

Wordt de wereld, de kauwgomballon, enkel opgeblazen of explodeert die op een dag..

Die wereld ziet er hier uit als een kauwgomballon opgeblazen door een tiener die erop kauwt alsof zijn of haar leven ervan afhangt en wie heeft dat uiteindelijk, ooit, niet eens gedaan. Had je geluk kun je de kauwgom nog weer gebruiken. Had je echter pech dan zat je hele gezicht eronder. Leraren hadden daar een bloedhekel aan. Dat hoefde je in de klas dan ook niet te doen. Ik denk dat de kauwgom toendertijd net zo populair was als de telefoon nu. Iedereen had eigenlijk wel een pakje kauwgom op zak. Als je er dan genoeg van had, dan waren er altijd een paar leerlingen die, om de leraren te pesten, het kauwgum ergens onder plakten, zodat de leraar erop ging staan, of er met z'n handen ingreep, niet echt prettig. Die wereld wordt waarschijnlijk niet opgeblazen, die kauwgombal echter is in menig gezicht geëxplodeerd, met als gevolg dat het hele gezicht onder zat. Je had dan wel de grootste ballon van de klas! Does the world the gumball just blow up or does it explode one day..

That world here looks like a gumball blown up by a teenager chewing on it as if their life depends on it, and who hasn't eventually done that at some point? If you were lucky, you could use the gum again. If you were unlucky, however, your whole face was covered in it. Teachers hated that. So, you weren't allowed to do that in class. I think gum was just as popular back then as the telephone is now. Everyone basically had a pack of gum in their pocket. When you'd had enough, there were always a few students who, just to annoy the teachers, would stick the gum under something, so the teacher would step on it or dig their hands into it, not exactly pleasant. That world probably won't be blown up, but that gumball has exploded in many a face, resulting in the whole face being covered. You did, however, have the biggest balloon in the class! (PScompo)

Muziek uit de jaren zestig..

De zestiger jaren is een hele belangrijke periode in de geschiedenis voor wat betreft de muziek. Vooral de rock&roll muziek stond in de kinderschoenen. De muziekstijl werd door de jeugd omarmd, maar door vele mensen ook verguisd, vanwege de zogenaamd obscene heupbewegingen. Toch toen de muziek wat meer bekendheid kreeg werd het meer en meer geaccepteerd. Mede doordat de jeugd zijn eigen plaatjes kon draaien op de mobiele pick-ups. Op die muziek werd heel veel gedanst, rock&roll maar ook stijldansen, het hoort allemaal bij die tijd. De hitlijsten hebben echt geschiedenis geschreven. Mensen zaten wekelijks aan de radio gekluisterd om te luisteren naar de hitnotering en de bijbehorende muziek. Vele bandjes zijn gestart in de zestiger jaren, waarvan velen met echt hele grote successen. Voor mensen is het nog steeds de favoriete muziek. Die muziek en alles wat daarna kwam tot en met de zeventiger jaren is bij velen nog steeds populair en dat zal vast niet snel veranderen. (PScompo)

Music from the sixties..

The sixties is a very important period in music history. Rock & roll music, in particular, was in its infancy. The style was embraced by the youth, but also reviled by many people due to the supposedly obscene hip movements. However, as the music gained more popularity, it became increasingly accepted. This was partly because young people could play their own records on portable turntables. There was a lot of dancing to that music—rock & roll as well as ballroom dancing; it all belongs to that era. The charts truly made history. People were glued to the radio every week to listen to the charts and the accompanying music. Many bands started in the sixties, many of them achieving huge success. For many people, it remains their favourite music. That music, and everything that came after it up to and including the seventies, is still popular with many, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon. (PScompo)

Haar levenslange schrijversdroom..

Deze dame die letterlijk in de wolken staat is aan het dromen. Ze droomt over een schrijvers carrière. Daar droomt ze niet sinds gister over, maar als haar hele leven, dat wil zeggen zo lang ze lezen kan natuurlijk. Je moet eerst weten wat er zo mooi is aan schrijven, en aan het lezen van dat geschrevene, voordat je die wens kunt hebben. Natuurlijk wordt er tegenwoordig vooral met de computer 'geschreven', maar toen haar droom begon werd er nog met de pen geschreven, met de vulpen wel te verstaan. De vlinders staan natuurlijk symbool voor geluk, een lang leven en een mooie toekomst. Die toekomst ziet zij dus vooral in het schrijven van boeken. Welke boeken, wel wie zal zeggen wat die toekomst gaat brengen. Worden het romans of misschien wel detectives of instructieboeken, de tijd zal het leren. (PScompo)

Her long life writers dream..

This lady, who is literally standing on cloud nine, is dreaming. She dreams of a writing career. She hasn't been dreaming about this since yesterday, but her whole life—that is to say, as long as she can read, of course. You first have to know what is so beautiful about writing, and about reading what is written, before you can have that wish. Of course, nowadays people mainly 'write' with a computer, but when her dream began, they still wrote with a pen—a fountain pen, that is. The butterflies naturally symbolize happiness, a long life, and a beautiful future. She therefore sees that future primarily in writing books. Which books? Well, who can say what that future will bring. Will they be novels, or perhaps detective stories or instruction manuals? Time will tell. (PScompo)
