Ieder jaar presenteert het ArtEZ Conservatorium Enschede in de introductieweek een aantal van de vetste acts van de school aan de buitenwereld tijdens het minifestival Afterglow in Metropool. Op maandag 24 augustus kun je gratis genieten van een diverse line-up.

WEEKTIP VAN DONYA | Lumina Enschede in de Grote Kerk 💡

In de monumentale Grote Kerk op de Oude Markt is er Lumina: een meeslepende 360°-voorstelling van licht, beeld en surround sound die het 800 jaar oude rijksmonument verandert in een indrukwekkend, levend digitaal kunstwerk.

Lumina is een initiatief van audiovisueel productiebedrijf Total Image in samenwerking met Wilminktheater en Muziekcentrum Enschede en citymarketingorganisatie Enschede Promotie.

Het is een gevoel dat je overvalt zodra je naar binnen stapt, iets waar je nooit eerder bij hebt stilgestaan... maar waar je heerlijk in kunt wegdromen en fantaseren.

In the monumental Grote Kerk on the Oude Markt, you’ll find Lumina: an immersive 360° experience of light, image, and surround sound that transforms the 800‑year‑old national monument into an impressive, living digital artwork.

Lumina is an initiative by audiovisual production company Total Image, in collaboration with Wilminktheater & Muziekcentrum Enschede and city marketing organisation Enschede Promotie.

It’s a feeling that washes over you the moment you step inside, something you’ve never really thought about before… but one you can completely sink into and let your imagination wander.

Het openluchtfilmfestival Movies@thepark is een samenwerking tussen Concordia, Craft District Enschede en het Van Heekpark in Enschede. De films beginnen rond 21:15, net nadat de zon onder is. Vanaf 19:30 gaat de bar open en is er ook koffie en taart te koop. De films zijn gratis toegankelijk en de plekken zijn beperkt, dus wees er op tijd bij!

The open‑air film festival Movies@thepark is a collaboration between Concordia, Craft District Enschede and Van Heekpark. Screenings start around 21:15, just after sunset. PLAY! TableTop Night: een avond vol D&D, andere RPG’s, bordspellen, kaartspellen, miniaturen schilderen, kitbashen...alles wat maar op tafel kan, is welkom.

Er zijn RPG‑tafels met hosts uit de community, open tafels voor bordspellen, en je kunt je eigen creaties meenemen om te playtesten. Alleen komen of met vrienden, maakt niet uit; spelen is de beste manier om nieuwe mensen te leren kennen.

I’m Alex, an enthusiast of Enschede’s cultural scene. You’ll often find me organizing events, festivals or helping creative initiatives across the city. I love creating spaces where community, art and ideas can grow. On Museumnacht, I’ll guide you through Enschede’s hidden cultural spots and show you why they’re worth returning to.

🎸 Kalle
I’m Kalle, singer‑songwriter student at ArtEZ, frontwoman/bassist of Pluk dan and bassist for FOEK!. I’m always creating: music, upcycled outfits, digital edits, books. After my marketing minor at Booster, I wanted to help shape the cultural scene. Now I coach youth at Studio15 and volunteer at Vestzak. I can’t wait for Museumnacht and to meet new people.

🎨 Didre
Museumnacht 2022 showed me how culture gives life meaning. Since then, I’ve contributed to many cultural projects. Culture connects, moves and inspires. I’m proud to be an ambassador for Museumnacht Enschede.

🌱 Joris
I’m Joris, 26, from Hengelo. I’m fascinated by creativity and work daily with creative minds at Limesquare and ArteSelect. Museumnacht brings art, culture and new perspectives together. I’m proud to be an ambassador and excited to inspire others.

I’m Donya, 22, Creative Business student at Saxion. I love culture, music and storytelling and recently became more involved in Enschede’s cultural sector. WEEKTIP VAN ONS | V-O-S 🎭

V-O-S is een muzikaal, anarchistisch en humorvol circus van menselijke onbenulligheid. Een voorstelling waarin het menselijk falen wordt gevierd en de drang om de natuur te beheersen, te benoemen en te begrijpen uiteindelijk onvermijdelijk ten onder gaat.

Zoekend, zingend, overschreeuwend en spelend tonen acht jonge spelers zowel de schoonheid als de kwetsbaarheid van de natuur, terwijl langzaam een verwrongen spiegel zichtbaar wordt van een wereld die steeds verder verstikt raakt onder menselijk egoïsme, onverschilligheid en vernietigingsdrang...

💡Wie zijn De Maakers?
De Maakers is een kweekvijver voor jong theatertalent van 15 tot 27 jaar uit Oost-Nederland, opgezet met De Theatermakerij uit Enschede. De Maakers spelen, zingen en musiceren in een muziektheaterproductie die ze zelf maken, onder begeleiding van professionals. Elk jaar worden er audities gehouden voor de nieuwe productie van De Maakers.

💡 Who are De Maakers?
De Maakers is a talent incubator for young theatre makers aged 15 to 27 from the eastern Netherlands, created in collaboration with De Theatermakerij in Enschede. The Maakers act, sing, and make music in a music‑theatre production they create themselves, guided by professionals. Each year, auditions are held for the new Maakers production.
