We are proud to have been included in the IQ Green Guardians 2026 list, recognising companies “driving the live industry’s efforts towards a more sustainable future”.

We’re continually working to minimise our impact on the environment, so it’s both humbling and exciting to be recognised alongside some of Europe’s sustainable innovators.

We’re prioritising people and planet, and we’d like to thank all the tours, festivals and partners who work with Dutch Barrier Services to help create more sustainable events.

Congratulations to our fellow Green Guardians.

Line-Up Gates have long played an important role in organising event entrances, but what if the gate could do more?

Our Smart Access Turnstiles automatically read tickets and count attendees as they enter, giving organisers accurate capacity information without relying on manual counting or ticket checks.

For event teams, that can mean fewer staff required at the entrance, less opportunity for human error, fewer disagreements over access and more reliable information to support safe capacity management and licensing requirements.

Technology doing the repetitive work, so teams can focus on the people coming through the gate.

Nick Cave at the P**a Arena, Croatia.

We have been supporting Nick Cave’s ongoing festival run with crowd safety infrastructure across multiple shows.

A key part of the project has been a bespoke decking system developed specifically for the production, allowing Nick Cave to perform as close to the audience as possible and supporting the distinctive artist-audience connection at the heart of his live shows.

Working alongside Nick Cave’s Production Manager, Hayo den Boef, our team has been proud to support the production throughout the festival run.

Hayo den Boef:
"Nick being able to walk the barricade and be that close to his fans is THE trademark feature of any Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds show.
The thrust and walkway that make this possible were designed with and manufactured by DBS. For this tour, as always, we got amazing support from them. The set is safe, fast and easy to build, everything you need for a fast festival turnover!"

A remarkable setting for another international show we’re proud to be part of.

We’ve been supporting Shakira’s US arena tour this summer, providing crowd safety infrastructure across the production.

Touring from arena to arena requires reliable equipment, efficient installation and consistency at every stop, helping the production keep moving throughout a busy run of shows.

We’re proud to be playing our part behind the scenes of another major international tour.

A busy summer looks very different from behind the scenes.

While audiences see the finished festival, concert or stadium show, our crew sees the builds, early starts, tight schedules and everything that goes into getting each site ready.

This summer, we’ve supported festivals and touring productions across multiple countries, moving from one major event to the next.

We couldn’t do what we do without the people on the ground making it happen.

A huge thank you to our crew for another incredible summer of live events.

Better bar flow starts with better design.

Every detail of an event site contributes to the overall visitor experience.

Our new Bar Barrier Corner creates a continuous serving surface around bar corners, eliminating gaps and making better use of the available space.

The result:
• More usable serving space
• Improved customer flow
• A continuous serving surface
• Better use of the existing footprint

First deployed at Roskilde Festival, it's another example of how practical innovation can improve the efficiency of event operations.

Creating safer working areas without sacrificing audience space.

Traditional security walkways often require additional space behind the barrier, reducing the available audience area or increasing the distance from the stage.

Our new Security Walkway was designed to solve that challenge.

By creating a continuous raised platform behind the barrier while occupying the same footprint as a standard barrier, the system provides a safe working area for security, medical and production teams without compromising audience space.

The result:
- More usable audience space
- Safe access for security, medical and crew
- A continuous raised working platform
- Improved operational efficiency

The Security Walkway was deployed for the first time at Roskilde Festival as part of our expanding proprietary barrier range.

A very special opening for the 50th North Sea Jazz Festival.

Queen Máxima welcomed guests to the anniversary edition by scanning the first festival tickets between our Line-Up Gates.

Alongside our Safety Barriers and Line-Up Gates, MOJO Concerts used our upgraded Smart Access Turnstiles as a ticket-scanning entrance system for the first time.

Integrated with Ticketmaster, the system helped provide a quick and straightforward entrance for guests while reducing the number of staff required for manual ticket scanning. This allowed the entrance teams to focus more of their attention on welcoming and assisting festivalgoers.

After successfully supporting capacity counting at the festival in 2025, the technology was expanded for the 2026 edition as part of our continued work with MOJO Concerts to improve efficiency, accuracy and the audience experience.

We were proud to play a part in this historic anniversary and to see Queen Máxima put the system into action.
