Small Ocean Elements - Water -
I will provide some extra explanation regarding the origins of this work and how things sometimes go in the creative process. Swipe to see the process from the beginning 😀
As you may know, I like working in series using the same color schemes. For instance, the latest work was created using colors that I combined with orange.
This work was part of that series as well, but... I didn't think it looked good at all to continue with this piece. You can throw it away, leave it as a reminder that 'this isn't how it should be,' or take a pair of scissors and cut out small elements. So, I did the latter and painted a few extra elements on the remaining paper. After trying several compositions—I made it difficult for myself by wanting to use every single element—I glued my final composition in place.
And then, what to draw??? Someone recently saw pebbles under/in the water in my small elements, so thank you for the idea. Drawing waterlines was the solution. With blue metallic watercolor over it, for the shimmer of the water, and some white pen. So this time, no motifs in the form of lines, circles, and dots.
And now I am curious what you think of this work / idea ☺️
